You mean you got killed fighting Rais's men after the radio message suggested that fighting them was a bad idea? Yeah, you're not supposed to be tough enough to take those guys on that early. You might be able to, but it won't be that easy.

If you got killed during the night chase, that's also normal as well because those night zombies are MEAN even after you've got some levels and experience under your belt. So you're probably still fine.
