:-/ hmm well now I've seen everything, one of the survivors parkoured her way over buildings and climbed her way up to where I was, I aimed my weapon at her and she put her arms up in defense and said "no please, please dont kill me!" so I lowered my weapon and suddenly she let out a scream and bit into my neck killing me O.o... wow... first time for everything I guess? I didnt realize that some of the zombies could be so sofisticated lol...

I was on the mission where you investigate the tanted drugs and I had arrived at the pharmacy so I assumed it was part of the mission, in my 12 hours of play I've never encountered a talking zombie

It's kinda creepy, you realize that the Viral enemies can still talk to some extent (since they're the more recently turned I guess) and they'll say stuff like "Please no" and whatnot

the virals are people that recently turned into a zombie the virus havent full controll of them yet so the virals can behave like that for the human part is stil resisting the virus controll.

So far she's the only talking zombie I've encountered some others is have made attempts at speech but it comes through in growls or howls definitely an odd encounter she actually stepped back covered her face and pleaded for her life.

I wonder if anyone else has encountered a viral that appeared to be fully human

Those Virals can be tricky ~ a unique " play on your morals " element I like about DL.

Rule of thumb - kill everything. Since you can't directly attack friendly npc's, it must be an enemy.

yeah that was a viral, a recntly infected person where the virus hasent take over them complatly so sometimes they beg for their life or shout stayway

Strange thing is now that im into the game they are definatly noticable they talk but you can tell that they're infected, maybe it was a scripted event to introduce virals into the game because the voice was clear as a bell definatly immersive lol. Theres usually growls between the vocals but this one time she didnt growl at all, right up until she bit my neck off lol. Definatly makes me appreciate all the work put into this game.
