Dying Light Very Very slow FPS
So when I was gonna play Dying light on a new computer the game loaded normally when I got in but when I was at the title screen, it was incredibly slow, it was less than 1 fps. When I started to play the game it was still the same! I tried everything, restart my computer, reinstall the game, and literally anything I could do that might work. My computer box might be the problem because I have a $600 Acer monitor, a magic Eagle gaming keyboard and mouse, and plenty of amazing upgrades to my computer, so to anybody that can fix this problem, PLEASE HELP ME! (Dying Light isn't super important to me but it costs about 20 dollars and I got it from my brother)

Edit: I'm not very good with computers but thanks to Ceejay I'll list them (I mean ALL of them)

Yep we need full specs, playing on a $2000 monitor wont make a difference if your running on a low end pc.

While I am sure you are thinking "well its a new computer"that means nothing, My old computer I just upgraded from is still miles faster than some new computers......

If you do not know your specs. Click on help at the top of steam, then down to system information, cut and paste your specs from there :)

Must be resolved.
Without specs, we can't really help. But I'll give you the benefit; lower your graphical settings especially shadows. See where that gets you.
And what is this "plenty of amazing upgrades to my computer"?

What the specs?

Man, if only having a 'good monitor and keyboard' meant all games ran at Ultra 4K. lmfao

Are you shy Robo98 ? Nothing wrong with being shy darling, but if you want help, your gonna have to climb that wall.

Okay from what I can gather you are using an i5-2400. The minimum cpu for this game is an I5-2500, so your cpu is below the minimum requirements for this game.

You are also only running 4gb of ram, which is odd as your graphic card has 6gb, you really should have more system ram than your Graphic Card.

Now while 4gb of ram is right at the minimum, but if you are running background programs etc, you may not have much of the 4gb free, which could also be a factor. (I really would upgrade to at least 8, it will not cost much these days, even then for some games even with 8gb you still need to be running almost no background programs)

Now for your graphic card, it does not list which one you are using, but as it has 6gb of VRAM I am guessing its at least an Nvidia 1060, if not it is certainly one of the faster ones having 6gb, at present all 6gb graphic cards can play this game.

So regardless your graphic card is fine.

Your issue is your cpu is below the requirements and/or possibly you are running out of actual ram.

Now to be fair, saying all that you really should be getting more than 1fps, as you are only a little underneath, though to point out that the minimum is just to get the game running, they do not claim minimum will be fast or a good experience.

I am not sure about linux (I do not use it) but your cpu also has built in graphics, its possible the game is using your onboard gpu not your 6gb one.

Is your monitor plugged into the actual Graphic Card or the monitor socket on the actual mainboard? If its not plugged into the Gpu, it will be using the wrong graphics.

If it is plugged into the actual Graphic card, then its possible its a driver issue.

Another thing is the game details. While your monitor is good and capable of 2560 x 1440. With your cpu being underpowered for this game, its not going to be able to do that.

Have you tried putting all your detail levels and game resolution on the lowest settings first to see how it plays? While it wont look as good, your fps should increase. if it is playable, then through trial and error you can increase your detail level to the point you are happy with.

Welcome Linux brother!
I believe the game is trying to run on your CPU's integrated graphics, and that will be horribly slow. I guess you have installed the Linux version.

Can you run these two commands in a terminal window and post the results here? You can copy and paste. This is to find out if a simple launch option can force the game to run on your better graphics card.

First:
glxinfo | grep "OpenGL renderer"

Second:
DRI_PRIME=1 glxinfo | grep "OpenGL renderer"

FYI, people still play this game with Core 2 Quad (2007 CPU) and a GTX 750ti, well at least it was my friend 2 years ago... and he got 30-40fps on average, 900p Low Settings. For this game, i5-2400 and GTX 1060 are more than enough to get 50fps on average at 1080p High settings, the bottleneck shouldn't be that big. So yeah, probably his GPU configurations.

He is playing at 1440p. 900p/low is nothing.
My point is, his CPU is stilll powerful enough to get more than 30fps on average.
