Also in Dying Light, you might wanna level up and do some side missions before you move onto main missions, just to make it more interesting. As progressing through story makes it even more harder to explore stuff because you unlock more cities and etc, I'd recommend taking it slow when it comes to main story but that's just my opinion.
That's if you rush, only focus on story and ignore almost everything else.
