How and where do I get guns and ammunitions?

I have a pistol, i just started the game not too long ago, how do i get guns, and where do i find ammo?

Vendors will start selling the ammo, they reset their shops everyday. You can also find ammo in police cars/vans.

Being higher survivor level gives you higher chance of finding guns aswell increases stats of weapons you find.

If you just started playing then it's normal you don't find lots of guns or ammo yet. Part of the game's unusual (but very well made) progression system is that guns, like many other things, will only become available later in the game.

There is one gun in a small house in the SW of the slums. If you do the "help the fisherman" random encounter, it is one of the places he leads you to.

In one of the initial missions for Rais, you can get a military rifle from a sniper at a gas station.

The guns have always been strange in level stats - if they spawn when you are lowish level, they will be better than if the same guns spawn later. The above two will be better than the standard versions if you get them early.

Cop vehicles and AI have them. Im level 9 and they just started popping up at vendor, might have to hop around each vendor. But after a certain point in the game i guess alll the vendors will have ammo and guns,. etc not sure though
