I'm on my third attempt at playing this game and I'm finally starting to enjoy it. I got the game gifted to me the same week it was released on steam and failed to keep playing after jumping off the crane. Starting out is just so hard even on easiest difficulty, having so smack zombies 20+ times in the head with a shovel just isn't fun.
Guns are fun they kill in one hit not 20+. It's so much more fun late game with new skills and better weapons.
By pickup early on I mean it's most likely in the tower possibly on the floor you go to to save that guy 17th floor?
Just checked Google now im at home and aparantly it is part of the Survivor skillset. You just need to choose that skill to get that blueprint fortunatly.

Yup its only my first playthrough too and i only just started crafting weapons at 50% story completion lol! I'm really digging the katana with fire and electric damage that slices heads off in one swipe >_<
