is this game saved on cloud or I have to backup game save file?

I am planning to format my PC and I am wondering if this game has cloud saveing or it's on hdd, I don't want to lose progress like I did once in Dark souls

Yes, cloud save is aviable.

its auto save on cloud no issues if cloud is syncing properly

The Steam Cloud is available for Dying Light, but make sure it's enabled by right clicking on Dying Light from Steam Library, then choosing Properties and then Updates, look at the bottom.

I'd still manually backup your save. It takes 60 seconds and you can't go wrong ( as compared to relying on a "" cloud save ". Which I do not. ).
