Is there any way to get Bow in early game?

I just started the game, currently in te part where Crane goes to Rais for Antizin. Is there any way for me to get bow and/or crossbow in this part of game? I watched some videos of bow location but i cannot find it since my map is limited atm. How can i get it?

Yes, however you need to buy a dlc I believe. It's on sale and only like 2 dollars, but the bow is INSANE and SUPER CHEAP to make, so if you really want it it's on sale for a bit longer I believe

Yes, I'll put it in 4 ways, beginning with the worst to best.

1.(Worst method), use the fastest leveling way, to as quickly as possible, boost your Survivor skill-tree to rank 9, that's when you can purchase the default bow which is the worst bow as well, out of the 3 bows in the game. You can use the guide about fastest Legend leveling(It's mainly for Legend, but works on Survivor skill-tree as well.) I don't recommend this, the bow isn't that great, although still useful. There's only 3 bows in the game, the other two which are DLC based can be considered the best.

2. Beat the Bozak Horde(Alone), which is... nearly impossible for you since you haven't developed your character yet, Bozak Horde is something you save for endgame.

3. Purchase Harran Ranger DLC, this'll give you ability to craft the best bow in the game early. Ranger bow is no different from Bozak bow, except having slightly bit more damage, but it doesn't make much sense and difference won't be noticeable.

4. If you don't want to buy the Harran Ranger DLC, you can add me as friend and then contact me, I can help you finish all Bozak Horde trials, it is difficult for beginners but I can solo all the trials alone therefore it'll be easier with me, so then you can craft the bow for yourself.

The 2. and 4. is assuming you have the Bozak Horde DLC, which you should've received for free if you bought the Dying Light: Enhnaced Edition.

you can start the game with the bow if you buy the ranger DLC and get the amazingly awesome ranger bow (better than the vanila game bow and xbow in my oppinion). you get access to the recipee to craft the ranger bow as well as various advanced arrows as soon as you purchase, and can craft one as soon as you get your hands on the few ingredients needed for it. arrows become a little trickier though, as metal scrap and nails are harder to come by initilally.

the dlc is totally worth it because it gives you the best weapon in the game. and allows one shot headshot kills on most infected right from the start, even on hard. (one shot goons!) admittedly its pretty op, but its also a lot more realistic...

I bought the enchanced edition, looks like i have all the DLC, but i couldnt see any blueprints in my inventory. How can i get the ranger bow?

I've seen some videos on Youtube but my map doesnt look like in these videos at all so i assume that video was captured in late game.

Harran Ranger, Gun Psycho and Volatile Hunter packs are DLC(s) that must be purchased separately if you want, these won't come upon purchasing the Enhanced Edition or season pass.

But again, you don't need to spend money on the Harran Ranger DLC, I can finish Bozak Horde with you so you're able to craft the Bozak bow which is same as Ranger bow. But for this you have to add and then contact me. Bozak Horde can be replayed as many times as you want, it's not one time only by the way, there's no downside finishing it anytime or not doing it alone. It has nothing to do with the story as well, so you won't be spoiled.

And if those DLC's offers good things, i'd definetely consider getting them. I love stealthy gameplay and looks like playing stealthy at nights (for x2 exp) will be hell of a fun for me.

Cool. I made reviews about those 3 DLC you can check out.

Basically the only DLC that is worth out of Gun Psycho, Volatile Hunter and Harran Ranger is the Harran Ranger because of its ability to let you craft the best bow very early in the game without any effort, the Gun Psycho gives a really nice looking rifle skin, adds red dot sight and improves its accuracy a bit. That's it really, the Volatile Hunter doesn't offer much besides the awesome yellow glowing outfit.

As of the Harran Ranger DLC, this is probably best for those who want the best bow in the game early without Co-Op/Online, have no internet or simply personal preferences. Since if someone helps you beat Bozak, you don't really need it. The extra damage of Ranger bow isn't worth.

In a way, I like that the Harran DLC costs money to get the bow that early.

I just made Survival Lvl 9 and yep the Bow is available, and with Enhanced Edition also on Normal the default Bow ammo is sold and also Craftable, although the Blueprint I bought is only 100 uses, which is plenty since each use creates at least 10 arrows, and you can pick up the arrows off of enemies or when you miss in the environment.

But the default Bow has lousy range, maybe 5-8 meters, or else it is blocked sometimes by things you might not suspect, not sure on that exactly. Seems 8 meters max to hit Bandits, and maybe more for hitting base zombies. 250 dmg on the base default bow or so, pretty easy to aim.

By Survival LVL 7 or so, you'll also get access to pistol ammo to buy and 2 basic pistols, American Pistol and German Pistol. But you can find the German Pistol earlier in a quest or via looting the environment, especially some Police Vans or killing the Bandit's or Rais Men.

Thing about the Base Pistol -- German One -- is that it is very quiet, does about 150 damage, but will one shot Bandits and Rais Men usually with a head shot. Zombies won't usually come immediately when it fires, Virals may come aftr more than 3 shots.

I mean you probably want this Bow for Night Hunting, which is cool, but for other purposes, so far, it isn't needed. I have not yet done the Rais deal quest yet, so it might be useful there, but from what I can tell, there are other ways to get thru those.

QUESTION:

Isn't there something supposedly good in the Volatile Hunter that helps craft quicker Knives or Swords -- although the videos I saw didn't seem logical. I mean he kept mentioning that the base weapon had about the same damage, so it would have to upgrade the swing speed or then what's the point, unless it has some important Night advantage?
