Intel Core i7-4710HQ 2.5GHz - Can I run it?
I got an Intel Core i7-4710HQ CPU at 2.5 GHz and a NVIDIA GeForce 840M graphics card with 2 GB.
According to systemrequirementslab.com I can't run this game cause my CPU is too slow. Anybody have similar/the same specs and can run it?

LOL, in my experience, Systemrequirementslab.com is a joke. It used to say I could not run many games on an Intel HD 2500 GPU with an i5-3.4GHz CPU and it was wrong on about 90 games, LOL.

Anyway, your CPU should be ok, although I am surprised it is 2.5 GHz. I don't know what the GeForce 840M is like.

Is this a Laptop?

If it is, you'll want to make sure you don't have it in PowerSaving Mode, sleep is off, and it is in Performance Mode so the CPU/GPU go all out.

The 2.5 GHz clock speed on the i7 is probably why you are flunking, but if that GPU is integrated, that might be an issue, as the Intel HD definitely could not handle Dying Light at even lowest settings. Nvidia Geforce GTX 750 Ti handles it easily, but I always play at a max of 1360x768 though. I don't think it would have much problem at 1080p though.

I have a feeling you have an integrated GPU, the Nvidia ones might be good, but that combined with the slower clock speed on the CPU is the concern. However, an i7 uses more cores, so it depends on whether or not Dying Light uses muticore processing, dunno.

My CPU is only 2.7GHz and I can run it, min is 3,3GHz for this game, my frames don't even move from 60.

Yeah I got a laptop. I kinda expected systemrequirementslab.com to be wrong cause with my former laptop it said I couldn't run any game I checked. Turned out almost all of them woked.
I guess I'll give it a shot, I just didn't want to buy the game without making sure there's a possibility it will work.
Thanks man!

System requirements are a crock of ♥♥♥♥. your i7 should run any game if your running upto date drivers. I had an older sandy bridge i5 & was running most games on a 520mx 1g till she died 6 months ago. The basic specs of this game you can run it on anything. I got this game running on another 2 i3s without any issues pulling 100+fps + its been well optimised best game i have run. The trick is keep everything upto date & you shouldnt run into issues. Tho i recomend running a cooling fan under you laptop as it will get warm, my desktop does & my old laptop use to the fans saved my arse manys times. Laptops are hit or miss tho its an i7 with 800 series card can still play most modern games running 10 Pro 64bit. I have played games where i shouldnt have on a laptop no issues, pick within recomended system specs .The 800 seriesis roughly 2gig video card memory, So most games should be playable Dying light will run.

when there is a M after the number for graphic card, it means it's a laptop.
concerning your cpu, i7-4710HQ 2.5GHz it has normally a turbo boost so that it can reach 3.5 ghz when applications need power..
i think you can play it but low setting, low resolution cause the NVIDIA GeForce 840M is a crap video card.
everything under 850m is crap on laptop.

I wouldn't worry about the CPU, I'm doing fine on an i5 2310. There are some dips in the big open areas, and when there are major hordes around me, but 90% of the time I'm capped out at 75 fps. It's onboard graphics that will probably hold you back though (I've got an rx470), but then I'm running at fairly good detail settings... in that I haven't lowered them much to claw back frames.

I wish more developers would release demos so we can actually test out these things before buying.
