There is no blueprint for the military medkit and there's no difference between it and a regular medkit, (except what they look like).

Might be a bit late, but you can usually find them in the yellow ambulances when you picklock the back. It could just be for the following as I tend to find one of them in almost every one I picklock, but if you wanna go around Haran testing it out then you can.

you can find military medkits but you can't craft it.

Nah, military medkits heal 150 health base compared with the normal ones which have a base healing of 100 (base means without any upgrades to make it heal more). So yeah, they can be a big advantage in some situations, but even so the normal ones are pretty good. Just try to unlock as many ambulances as possible that you come across, unless they're more trouble than they're worth (i.e swarmed with zombies) and then just build up a pile of them in your player stash so you don't accidentally use them on the run.

Here's a link to the wiki on them:

Well, learn one new thing every day. I had no idea.

Also, I believe their only available in TF and I've never found a way to choose between using one or the other...if there is a way.

Good points.

Now that I know the difference between kits, I'm currently mapping out a hand-full of yellow ambulances in The Following. Already got a dozen kits in a very short time.

I think Stan is right, the game seems to prioritize the Military Medkits when healing. This may explain why I never have any stocked up. I've had to drop them on the ground to preserve the supply.

Thats kinda disappointing that there is no recipe for it yet about 3 for regular medkits.

Okay Fenrir37, I did a quick run through The Following. I opened 42 ambulances and got 35 Military Medkits. I probably missed some ambulances, since I was just speeding around the roads for easy ones. [Tested again: 44 opened, 40 kits].

If Quit/Load cycling to farm faster, be aware:
If in post game (after finale at dam), the game's save system changes. Quitting to create a save after opening an ambulance, will load at that same state, so the ambulance is already looted :/ Quit/Load cycling would function better before the finale, while Crane is still reset to checkpoints.

That would be cool. Might require a new item...perhaps an Antibiotic element.

Gauze + Alcohol + underwater Algae perhaps.

Yeah, but people are subscribed to the chat and get notifications. When I looked on steam and saw the little '9', I was like; "What have I started"

<face-palm> As usual, I didn't realize it was necro. but at least all the info is consolidated instead of having repeat threads.

I learned something new, made myself a nice little farming guide, and have had a lot of fun.
