no vioce chat please help

we have 2 computers an both are trying to play we can not use vioce chat , we can not hear eachother , we can not hear or talk to anyone even randoms , our mics work great in all other games exept dying light an spec ops the line
i have checked all settings over and over again on both computers everything is correct , what am i doing wrong , please help

Maybe same issue as me. Awfully low volume for voice chat. I actually had to tone down the volume of the game's music / sound to 20% and raise the volume on my headset.

Use steam voice chat, not ingame voice chat. Also highly suggest you play with just your friend, not randoms. (Atleast that is what i prefer.)

ive only been playing on pc for a month - i checked out steam vioce settings and its set correctlly it recognizes my default audio realtech then i go to test and the green led bar does not light up
i thought steam chat was for just the people you kinow ? i want to be able to talk to anyone im inna game with communication is part of the game i paid for

me an my son are temporarally using dischord till we figure it out
but dying loight is the only game we are having vioce chat IN GAME problems with

how do you enable IN GAME vioce chat so you can talk to your team mate and also any randoms you are playing with ???

your at least getting vioce chat in recording devices and playback devices do you have that turned up all the way , also their is a mic boost funtion and an eq in enhancements tab in recording devices in volume in task bar recording devices then click enhancements tab turn eq all the way up if you have realtec their is a mic boost

i know this becouse i have googled an checked everything 100 times and i can not even get vioce chat

also i am on isp issued router an every game i have has open nat but on dying light it is on moderate nat

i am thinking maybe moderate nat might be cousing my problem but everything indicates i am on open nat even tho dying light says i am on moderate an dying light is the only game saying moderate

i even checked our ps4s and our xboxs and they are on open nat all 4 pc`s in the house every game says open nat except dying light

I can't really tell if people even have microphones. It always says other people are talking but they aren't. Might be broken, no idea. I suggest just asking ingame if they have discord to join you. Most people SHOULD have it since it's the new popular thing y'know. Unless they live under a rock like your average person in public lobbies. (Legendary level 250 hacked items etc. you get it)

this is very strange but i have given up and me an my kid just used dischord

but

now we can hear other people talking and they can hear us , WHAT ???

yeah for some reason while we are in dischord everything works an we can even hear and talk to GAME CHAT outside of our discord chat AT THE SAME TIME , ok im confused now
but whatever it all works

i have not tested it without dischord running cause if it aint broke dont fix it

only thing i have done diferentlly is enable stereo mix on windows sound

it was wierd me and my son where playing using discord and a random came into our co op gamne and started talking and could hear us an we could hear him , HE WAS NOT IN OUR DISCORD

I dont know why or how but out of no where everything just works now

having a blast with this game

It does work but it's very quiet. Eventually went to test myself. But it was unhearably quiet.

i dont know why but after messing with it for a week i got it to work once without discord and yes it was very quit IN GAME CHAT - now i play while in discord and while im in discord i can actually hear and talk to IN GAME CHAT and also discord chat at the same time , very wierd but the thing is ALL CHAT discord chat and in game chat is perfect i9 can hear nice and loud and also everyone can hear me , very wierd i dont know why but it works , only thing i did diferent was enable stero mix in windows sound , i dont know if thats what fixed it and is making it work but it works

turn voice gain and mic gain up if you can hear each other then try turning voice chat off in game and turn it on again if it dosent work by then i cant help you
