[SOLVED] How do you kill zombies?

I'm not even joking.

I can stand in front of a normal zombie smashing it in the face for 5 minutes straight and waste 1 whole repair on the one zombie just because it won't die

I'm not in early game either. I'm mostly using purple/orange weapons. I have no idea what i'm doing wrong but it takes forever just to kill a small group.

Using a blue weapon I'm having no issues killing zombies. One or two hits does the trick. this is on Nightmare and I am only legend level 10.

One thing I've noticed makes killing them easier, if you aren't already doing it, is to aim high, so your weapon hits the heads of the zombies. Or low for the legs if it's a viral, as taking a leg out on a viral is an insta-kill.

Hm...that happens about 10% of the time for me. 90% of the time for me, it result in decapitation, or just death. The 10% of the time they stumble into me, another hit is enough to finish them. You could aim for the legs to knock them down and use the finisher kick on them.

Could it be that I have no legend rank yet? I'ts still absurd how hard it is to kill zombies even so..

No. Even before I had legend, I was one or two hitting everything. Not once, excpet for the very begining of the story, when I first started, do I remember it taking many hits to kill a zombie, and even then, I don't remember it ever need a full repair to kill one.

It's completely random as well....sometimes they die very easily or in 1 hit, but a majority take a very long time to kill. I have no idea what would cause this either...it's just too strange

Combat is seriously impossible because of it....I can barely play the game because every zombie is pretty much invincible

This was not the point of this thread. Does it look like they are asking for others to give them items? Because it certainly doesn't to me.

oh, if you story progress is higher the zombies become harder,playing co op makes it harder aswell. If you are useing blunt weapons it could also mean it can be harder aswell as you should use skills that can k.o the zombies in one move.

you can't get 24k dmg weapons otherwise its hacked/modded and why would you say this in this forum doesn't even relate to it, and you are just ruining the game for him

What difficulty are you playing? if you're playing on normal you shouldn't have an issue killing zombies in one hit with decent weapon. If you're playing on Hard, you should turn down the difficulty as obviously you're not yet ready for it, same goes for Nightmare.

You should have decent survivor rank by now, that means you'll be finding good enough weapons.

If you feel like it's taking forever to kill zombies, that's a sign you're barely prepared for the difficulty you're playing on.
