the museum mission demand a little bite skill, and rank for kill tahir; its an introduction for the final battle with rais later...if you rush the game and fight tahir with low level , you risk the abort mission^^ is not a critic, just an info, dying light is based on a progression of the hero, skill tree, you request many attacks unlock skill for kill tahir.More your level is hight , better you have many chance to kill him, the weapon is just a distraction...look dead body and loot during the mission, if you have friends, play in co-op ....good luck good night, good fight^^

There's chest somewhere around, you can find decent enough weapon there. Keep using dodge and time your attacks.

Also I agree with that ppbanzai said, you shouldn't rush story missions or you risk facing difficulty.

I just did Tahir last night and was a little surprised to take him down first shot. As above, stick and jab, keep moving to dodge. You clearly cannot beat him toe to toe.

And when your health gets knocked down to near dead, utilize your survival sense to keep track of him and move away until you regenerate enough to hit him again ( his doesn't regenerate ). Rinse and repeat till he's down. Worked for me.

I did it on hard taking no damage. You can see humans swinging from miles away. Just dodge backwards. Crane literally has a dodge technique. Use it. Then run in and hit him a few times. Power attacks do some nice damage.

I have a good way to beat him it may take health but jump on his head turn around and then hit his head in mid-air

or get a nail hatchet and strike his head

- 1 : look for a bag in the room. In it you'll find a better weapon than the one given to you.
- 2 : Run towards Tahir then jump above his head, turn quickly while in the air and hit him on the head. After a few hits (shouldn't be more than 3 or 4 depending on your skills), Tahir's health bar should be 3/4th empty. Other Rai's men then appear.
- 3 : Kill them one by one and loot their weapons. You should now have a random blade with about 400 damage.
- 4 : When they're all dead, give Tahir one or two more hits in the head (same technique)
- 5 : you should be good to go. All your inventory will be given back to you (stored in a bag) as soon as Tahir's dead and you're out of the museum.

i can give you some yellow weapons to help your quest
This thread is 2 years old. I'm pretty sure they got past that point by now.

It may be 2 years old, but there are some good tips there for anyone else who might be struggling.

True.

First time I killed him, I was stuck with the blurred vision and no stamina bug LOL. After I had to redo the whole mission again to clear the bug... the second time killing him was even easier.

Both times I had done what was mentioned above. Dodge and time swings. Run around, kill some of the pleebs and take their weapons for something nicer. I never did see any chest with better weapons in it though :(

Here's one trick I saw in a nightmare mode video I watched recently: right before losing all their items, the player chucked one of their own good weapons on the ground, and then when Tahir came through the door and their items were gone, they just picked it up from the ground and killed him in a few seconds. Feels a bit cheap but for anyone still struggling, maybe give that a go. I only saw the video well after I finished the game so I've never tried that - I would think the weapon would despawn but guess not.
