Gassed up quest. An easy way out?

The last part where you have to kill a goon in a pit covered with mesh. You have to kill a multitude of zombies and frogs before you can kill the goon. You then have to run across the road, jump into the water and swim through the pipe to reach the pit where the valve is located.
Just a thought but can one not go straight to the water and access the pipe, swim then kill the goon? This way would mean not having to kill a single zombie on the outside.

I am levelling up by sleeping for a few days then collect the relief packages by the cave.
I changed to nightmare difficulty as you suggested but got the same points a on normal. 3500.
I now have weapons with about 100 rated damage so things are slowly improving.

Use the Stuffed Turtle quarantine zone, not the one from near cave. Just read the guide I posted in your other thread.

I thought the Stuffed Turtle quest was listed in my quest menu but if it was it is not there now.
I must check if the map actually shows the location. (just completed "Voltage"- very easy.)

Regarding my original post, I am curious if the quest can be done as I stated. Near the end of the pipe there is no water and one can stand up in the pipe and throw weapons at the goon who is too big to enter the pipe. I am tempted to try.

Just.................................................. read the guide. Any quarantine zone must be first visited before it gets added to your quests > repeatable quests. There's screenshot of location as well.

Go ahead and do it, level up, get better weapons, kill everything.

Hey OP. I see you often post about having some problem progressing. If you want, add me. Had to start my game back from the beginning but I know what I am doing and I can show you some decent farming spots and even help you with a couple of quests. I only play coop anyway. Just offering.

Well, no. I wouldn't say it's "designed" for only Co-Op. I mean the Co-Op is just available and very well made, but you're neither forced nor needed to play Co-Op.

I've done several playthroughs absolutely alone, finished the game first few times in Co-Op on all difficulty. Never had any issues especially regarding the difficulty.

So it's just there, but necessity to play in Co-Op is totally 0%.

I know that. Asking for help is never wrong of course, you're right.

Though OP doesn't want to play in Co-Op and I totally understand that. But not even adding a friend is kinda odd, yeah. And the difficulty OP is facing is kinda weird as well, game isn't supposed to be that hard tbh.

Well, assuming he maybe didnt play either Dead Island or Dead Rising. Might be hard for him. I stilll remember first time I played Dead rising and it was hard as ball until I knew what I was doing.

I will play on my own as long as I can progress, no matter how long it takes. If I come to a complete standstill then I will gladly accept the offer.

If you really insist. But you are really just crawling over broken glass for not much. It is really easy to survive outside. All you really need is that one skill that let you jump overzombies. (With a bit of creativity, let's you reach places Volatiles will have trouble following.) Inside? Either have the headstomp, a couple molotovs, or a gun.

Molotov you can easily get from the start of the game.

The only thing in the whole game that is even remotely challenging solo is... (Excluding freaks of nature) Demolishers.

Other than that, keep a decent supply of medkits and get familiar with parkour... Youll be crushing heads in no time.
