Looking for some mods to make the game enjoyable
Stamina increase
Weapon damage increase
Weapon durability increase
Weaker zombies

Or is there a way to edit one of the files?

Just want to make the game playable & fun. Seems the devs made the game harder for the sake of it since I last played. Getting bored just running around opening boxes.

Play on Normal mode. Even trash weapons one/two hit everything. Unlimited stamina, durability is nearly non existent. Weapons rain.

I don't see reason to make it even more easier as it is, I already play on Nightmare with no HUD and medkits, piece of cake.

If you want to do that on Nightmare mode, then you're looking for cheats and not mods, you can download trainers but beware of ruining your own experience and viruses.

Just looking to make the game enjoyable. I'm bored of opening boxes. Running 10 feet then having a heart attack & not being able to kill a zombie in less than 10 swings with out taking breaks to regen stamina. It's ruining the game for me.

Yeah I'm not really after downloading & using trainers, etc tbh. Oh well thanks anyway.

Custom weapon upgrades from nexus mods is outstanding. No more having to use ♥♥♥♥♥♥ blue prints with sub - par effects on you're weapons. apply shock and impact to a pipe wrench or impact and bleed to a baseball bat. Go ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ brother.

Since this game uses VAC, I wouldn't want to use mods. I do mod Beth games pretty extensively, as well as other games, but they do not use VAC, and I rather not risk my account on a mod that may or may not create an issue.

Okay, now I see your point.

But you're missing a lot, let me cover the most if not all of what you're missing. And it seems like you're playing on Nightmare mode, which is something you shouldn't do, since what you're looking fits for Normal mode, even possible that you're on NG+ which makes it even harder, unless you want it that way, you shouldn't be trying to kill zombies with basic attack.

There's drop attack, there's tackle, there's drop kick, there's stomp, a lot of ways to insta kill zombies. And bow, it's very powerful weapon even on Nightmare+ mode, as long as you have support from Legend skill-tree, it can nearly kill everything in one/two shot.

And, there's stamina boosters which gives you infinite stamina for short time even on Nightmare mode, take your time farming it, it's very easy.

Okay, according to your playtime, I suppose that you should have a lot of alcohol, possibly several hundreds if not thousands, so that's not going to be a problem, all you need is this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2njd3_c3KE

As of weapons, instead of opening boxes you can simply purchase them from vendors, or farm quarantine zones. It's not that hard.

For gold tier weapons, more info here. https://www.reddit.com/r/dyinglight/comments/5th9wt/gold_tier_weapon_question/

So in conclusion, you don't need any mods. It seems that you're playing on hardest possible difficulty while wanting it to be easy, which literally doesn't make any sense. What you're looking is cheating. This is almost same as accepting a hard job and then complaining that it's hard, and asking for any illegal means to make it easier.

That's why there are difficulty options, whoever wants challenge can play on Hard/Nightmare, whoever wants to have casual fun can play on Normal mode.

In case you didn't knew, difficulty options are in Main Menu > Play > Campaign > Save > Advanced. Bozak or any DLC quarantine zone shouldn't be tracked, they hide difficulty options. Difficulty can be downgraded anytime and you lose nothing doing that, unless you haven't yet unlocked the current difficulty outfit reward.

Have you done Bozak? you can earn around 3 Bozak dockets in 20-25 minutes, that's your 100% chance to earn 3 gold tier weapons.

If you need help with Bozak or its achievements, feel free to add me and contact me anytime I'm on PC.

Edit: Forgot to mention the bow.

Sounds cool I'll have a look on the Nexus thanks.

Hmm I didn't think it would affect SP maybe I'll leave it then.

Not dissing you personally, but why would any serious gamer want to turn it into a childrens Ipad toy ? Hey, s**t man, maybe it's just me.

It was when it first came out had a lot of fun with it NG+ etc, but now I just want to mess about & have fun I can't be bothered much with waiting to level up to 'add a skill to give me infinite stamina' etc. Well I'm not playing this game seriously just wanna mess about & have fun killing zombies hmm kinda like where original doom doesnt have a stamina bar but you can rush about killing demons.

I know that might not sound like fun to some players & this is a different type of game but it's fun to me especiaslly when I can chill with some music in the BG.

I only play SP so I don't think VAC applies? Have either Valve/Steam &/or the devs confirmed this?

I agree & yeah it does seem like that. I came back to the game wanting to have fun & mess about as I've already played through the game on NG+ etc. I found a previous save point where it was at the very beginning of the game with most of the intro stuff completed so I could just jump straight into the game & play.

It's possible that I had chosen a higher difficulty when previously making this save as it's what I was used to at the time & was wanting to play then. Now I can't be bothered with all that & just want to enjoy the game on a much easier difficulty setting. I'll make a new game & check.

The reason I wanted to play again is because I haven't touched the latest DLC that was added which came shortly(?) after I stopped playing & moved onto something else. Came back to just try it out.

I don't even know what Bozak is so maybe not. I haven't tried the DLC AFAIK unless it was without realizing or I just forgot from last time I played.

Ok thanks for the offer I appreciate that. I've never played coop or anything only SP. I satyed away from co-op muliplayer due to the cheating & it really wasn't something I was interested in. I've had enough of that kind of game play with L4D2.

Don't worry, changing difficulties is something very common in Dying Light, unlike other games where you get stuck on difficulty until you finish it or etc. Even though in Dying Light, the NG+ status remains on all difficulties, it's mostly noticeable on Nightmare, it doesn't make Normal or Hard mode that much hard.

Just to clear any potential confusion, you don't have to start new game unless you want to start from scracth(Lose all skills, collections, inventory, quests and etc), you can always change difficulty on your current save back and forth whenever you want.

You're probably talking about The Following which is an awesome DLC, definitely worth it. You should definitely try it, the thing is I recommend getting most out of the Campaign before moving to The Following, it's because The Following is so good that you may never come back to Campaign again.

The Bozak Horde is basically something like an arena where you can test your agility, survival and combat skills into different trials that have time limits, it comes with total of 20 trials(21 in Co-Op which isn't really a trial, very easy.) it can be difficult in learning curve, but it'll be significantly easy if you have decent enough Legend rank, I have a Bozak guide on my profile whenever you need it as well.

The most useful thing in Bozak Horde is knowledge, which nobody has in the beginning, so don't be afraid or confused if you fail here or there.

As of cheaters, don't worry about it. The only thing you have to do in order to protect yourself from cheaters, is never pickup anything that others drop. Also enable VAC. If you see somebody with barely any knowledge about the game, only few dozens of hours and being Legend 250, especially with base skill-trees not maxed out, it's most likely a cheater, somebody who duped packages or downloaded save. You can then leave the game or kick them, won't be a problem as long as you never pickup anything that others drop, no matter how legit it may look like.

The biggest advantage of beating Bozak is the Bozak bow and elemental arrow blueprints that you can use outside Bozak. Bozak bow rivals Ranger bow in matter of everything, the only difference is that Ranger bow has slightly more damage but it's not that much to be necessary.

Ranger bow is obtained easily after purchasing Harran Ranger DLC, can spoil beginners due to being obtainable very early in the game and being OP. The Bozak bow feels more rewarding to be honest because you have to go through difficult trials and the bow is really good as well. Both Bozak and Ranger bow are far better than basic bow.

I'm not sure if you have Harran Ranger DLC, but if you don't own it, you don't really have to buy it if you have Bozak Horde DLC. You can check which DLC you own in Steam > Library > Dying Light > Scroll down to DLC List btw.

Even Bozak bow can be pretty OP even on highest possible dificulty. It's possible to finish Bozak Horde alone, you can try it and get its atmosphere, but in case if you'll need assistance, feel free to add me and contact me anytime.

Ok thanks. Maybe I decided at the time to start everything from scratch. I don't see anywhere either in game or at the main menu where I can change the difficulty.

I have all DLC so I probably have a lot to get through thanks for all the info & advise. I added you.

It's in Main Menu > Play > Campaign > Save > Advanced. Make sure you don't have Bozak Horde or any DLC quarantine zone tracked as quest, they cause difficulty options to not appear.
