What's the deal with human AI?
Just finished with Goodnight Mr. Bahir after dying so many times i completely lost count. Why are the human targets at this compound so difficult to kill? I'm playing on normal but the degree to which they can deflect and dodge your attacks is crazy high, even if you wait for them to start their own attack swing. For a while I thought I might have been using a broken weapon but even when I was down to 1 guy the fight dragged on forever. What's the deal? I was having fun up to this point but this encounter was just plain annoying.

Is this what I can expect from the other human AI?

There are a couple of times that the human enemies do indeed seem to be " juiced up ", shall we say. More of a welcomed challenge for sure. I wish they were all that way.

That one was hard at first. Did you use the nearby explosives? You usually fight 2-3 humans at a time. If you stay just out of range you can sneak in 1 or 2 free hits. Throwing stars don't use stamina and interrupt attacks. The shield is great once you get it.
A molotov can kill a group or seriously wound.

Use dodge skill, use parkour whenever you're low on stamina and recover, learn their attack patterns.

Make sure you're playing on Normal difficulty.

Dont go on them like you do with the zombies. Even on nightmare mode, just wait for them to attack then grap and throw them. Then kick their head and wait for your stamina to regenerate if you play on nightmare. You can vault and smash their head offa easily, they cant dodge those things it is easy to do too.

Well....they are fighting for their lives. To my eyes, this just shows how good of a job the devs did with the AI.

Use a molotov, it's the easiest way to kill humans they just stand there and burn to death

It's not that there's a "human" and a "zombie" AI—there isn't—it's that you simply are not able to "see the forest for the trees."

Zombies have almost ZERO higher-level brain functions; their behavior and actions are dictated by residual and deteriorating animal instincts; zombies are pretty easy for a human to out-wit—start with pretending that zombies are American high school graduates (I can say that; I'm an American educated in ante-9/11 West Germany), and you'll begin to understand.

Humans are tougher because their brains are mostly working properly.

I was shocked playing a Dead Island game when I heard one of the zombies exclaim, "Brains! Brains! Brai-ai-ai-ai-ains!" I think it was an easter egg, a reference to TK Baka in the Dr. Ned's Zombie Island's DLC of Borderlands.

Probably this.

Nope. My guy was wearing a brightly-patterned ballcap, no mask, and no machete. BUT, I'm actually starting over from scratch as Purna, and don't recall ever seeing Jason—an oversight I will now be certain to rectify. When done as Purna with DIDE, I will then import her [skillset] to DIRDE. This video's hilarious; I simply have to see this in-game!

The thing about easter eggs is that [maybe more than just] sometimes they're so subtle that people don't twig to them at all. Like, in the Hitman games that I've been playing since Day One (too many to count), the last one being a reference to Kayne & Lynch:

In the farmhouse, upstairs, a guard and a hacker are playing a K&L console game on TV.

This Friday 13th reference is simply too precious!
