How to successfully work with EZIC?
OK, three questions about this magnificent thriller :)

First and foremost, how is it possible to work with EZIC and actually overthrow the government? I tried aiding them at various stages but it would always result in an audit and game-over.

Also, what's up with the Obristan achievement? I escaped there with my wife and kid but no achievement popped. Was I supposed to have gone it solo or does it only unlock if you get EVERYONE to come there with you?

Finally, has anyone discovered all the hidden plots? I am only missing one, the third from last I believe.

Thanks in advance!

1: check the wikia for full details
"various stages" implies that you have not completed all their tasks

2: you must escape with everyone

3: what do you mean by "plot"

Getting the EZIC ending requires completing ALL their tasks except killing the man in red, then letting them carry out their attack at the end.

The Obristan acievement requires that you escape with everyone, yes.

If you're talking about the tokens, yes, all of them have been discovered. If you check the Guides section you can look up most of this sort of info pretty easily.

Many thanks guys, I was only missing the one with the watch!

Damn close to getting the entire family out and I'm really glad there's a way to side with EZIC through the game...of course I'll have to burn their money every time, but hey, it'll be worth it :)

Or dont burn the money, it will get confiscated 2 days later tho, so just spend it while you have it.

Can't possibly spend all of it, it always gets reported and you lose a few days later.

If you take the first bribe and then let in both EZIC agents they'll derail the investigation against you. You don't get the money back, but EZIC does provide smaller gifts after that when you help them.

Excellent, I'll work it like that once I've achieved the perfect Obristan ending!

I think I crafted for myself a neat ending: I helped EZIC up until the very end, but I was so scared that their attack would kill me or send me to jail that I used the key they gave me for the sniper rifle, killed them so they could not talk, and fled with my whole family to Obristan. Awesome.

According to the wiki, getting the EZIC ending only requires you to do four out of five of their tasks--three are letting agents in, then the poison, then the passport shuffle. So if you want to roleplay a scrupulous kindhearted guy who reunites an Imporian mother with her son, captures a human trafficker, helps a father get real justice for his murdered daughter, and never ever ever kills anyone... it's still possible to overthrow the government. Glory to New Arstotzka.

P.S. I'm in the process of verifying this for myself, but I'm only on day 16 in my new playthrough. First one I didn't know what I was doing, did stuff just for fun and to further the plot... ended up flubbing all three of the early-game EZIC tasks and got audited. Of course, that was in an alternate universe from the second end where I had enough passports for all my surviving family (Uncle was dead) but Mother-in-law inexplicably moved back to Nirsk instead of coming with the rest of us to Obristan. ...And a REALLY alternate universe from the first end of the game I got, which technically wasn't an ending: I touched the poison. That should've been a Steam achievement too: "Too Dumb To Live". XD I did it because I honestly thought it would be one of the endings, not having read the wiki spoilers yet at that point.

P.P.S. It may be that even if you have enough passports for all surviving family members, it's scripted to have one of them stay behind if any of them died, just so you can't get ending 18 that way. I might test that sometime by killing off all but one or two so I'm absolutely certain I can get more than enough passports.

To help you out with Obristan: you don't need to have the whole family alive to get it. You just need to escape with all of those which aren't dead. If there's no one but your wife still alive and you escape with her then you'll still get the achievement, but if you escape with your wife while your uncle or child is still alive you will get a different Obristan ending with no achievement.

tl;dr letting your family members die will make it easier for you to achieve it.
