A few bugs I'd like to confirm!
Love this game, loved the beta too. But I've noticed that I have recieved a few citations for things that I did not do wrong. At first I thought I may have missed something at first, however I noticed that it was mainly on Arasztokian citizens (and a few others, but mainly those). The issueing city was correct, looking at the rule book and the passport, both names matched up, but then when you highlight the two looking for discrepencies, it comes up saying "discrepency detected". I noticed that it did this on alot of passports with the issueing city of East Grestin. Anyone else find they are having this issue?

I don't think I've run across that one but I have had others. For instance, a guy didn't match his photo, I fingerprinted him and the name on the prints matched the name on the documents. So basically everything matched but the photo, which wasn't far off either. But yet I still got a violation for letting him go through. One way to look at it is the photo didn't match the person, but I am more practical than that. To me, no one would forge a picture of someone else on top of their Visa. Usually the photo matches you but has someone else's name on it. Like I said, in this case, the name on the prints matched all the documents. I have posted a few of these things in the last couple of days. It would be nice if the dev could confirm these issues.

One thing I noticed with the finger prints is that you need to actually use the issue detector with the prints that they give you and the ones that print out. Try that next time you finger print someone, because the same name will show up as on the passport most of the time, but the fingerprints may not match.

The printout that appears from the bottom of the screen is the official government record, which you need to compare to the prints on the slip that the person puts back on the desk in front of them.

Oh wait a minute... I thought when you ask for prints, you input their fresh prints and then the thing prints out what name corresponds to those prints. Are you saying I am typing in her name and it's printing out what prints are on file and then I compare them to her fresh prints?

Yes, precisely.

Ha, well hopefully you can see the confusion. The fact that you ask for her prints and "then" the thing prints out, gives the impression that you "ran her prints" and then it gives you the name on file. It would have been clearer if button said "compare fingerprints" or something like that. Either that or give an explaination about the fingerprinting process, which I don't think the game does. Or maybe I'm just too literal.

Any time I've thought this was happening I've looked back on recordings and seen spelling mistakes. An a instead of a u or something small like that

Well that's my problem solved, I'd always assumed something along those lines (scanning them in). But now that I think about it, that's much to modern for this time frame. Thanks for the info!

I sometimes get a penelty for letting someone through when they said the wrong duration according to their entry permit. But, I also get a pentelty for denying somebody for the exact same reason. Maybe it depends on the length of duration? i.e. a longer duration, deny entry, shorter duration, allow entry? Maybe just a bug?

Pull out the audio transcript (it's behind the microphone) and highlight both the incorrect statement and the relevant portion of the document. As far as I know, the person will always correct themselves, and you should still let them in. Note that there can be something wrong with their actual papers as well, so you still have to check them.

Oh right, so if I ask them and they correct themselves then it's ok. Thanks, clears things up.

I've gotten a lot of citations for 'incorrect duration response' because the response 'a few weeks' apparently doesn't correspond to '14 days'. In performing a 'perfect' play-through I've been able to observe things like this so now I don't make that 'mistake' - but it's pretty sucky if you ask me.
