So does each country model a real life nation?
UF is obviously the US, Arstozka is the USSR, the others?

Well, Arstotzka seems to represent the USSR, but East Grestin and West Grestin represent the German city of Berlin very closely.

First off, Arstotzka is of course Russia - either as a whole, or representing european countires under the control of the USSR (see Angegria).
Republia is likely the United States equivalent, going by the name Bostan. United Fed is likely the United Kingdom.
Kolechia is probably Germany, due to the real-world tentions between the two halves of Berlin (Grestin). Obristan feels like it would be Poland, due to it's proximity to both Arstotzka and Kolechia.
As Ingenieur said, going by the city names Impor is likely an Asian country, likely Japan.

As for Antegria, I'm not quite sure - I acutally find it the most interesting; It is said that "Republia is locked in a cold war style rivalry with Antegria, and is plagued by rebels", meaning Antegria could maybe represent Cuba. I also noted that antegria has a city called 'Glorian', while Republia has one called 'True Glorian', implying some sort of debate over city names.

Just my thoughts; keep in mind however that I don't think each fictional country is meant to mirror an individual real world nation, but rather they all take parts of different countries to give them a general identity.
I don't know anything about a polio epidemic in the UK in the 1980's, considering the vaccine was going well, so it's clear this game is set in an entirely fictional world, and all similarities to the real world are purely coincidental.

I don't think Republia represents the US. In Republia Times, you play as the editor of a newspaper and have to print pro government articles or your family will be killed. You can support the rebels in that game as well, but it just gets your family killed and puts a very similar regime in control. Republia sounds more like a banana republic

EDIT: Also to Screedle,
Some have suggested that the United Fed polio outbreak relates to the measles outbreak in the UK. I have no idea if this is right or not

Also, Obristan probably more likely represents the central Asian nations like Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Turkemenistan, Tajikstan, Kyrgyzstan, etc.

None of these represent real nations, Dukope said it himself. As an aside I doubt Arstotzka is a Communist nation. However, the use of the Hammer symbolism and October reference pull against this, however, Arstotzka does not have free universal healthcare (your kid can die of a cold) as the USSR did. A
Arstotzka is like a communist state but not really.

From the steam description: "The communist state of Arstotzka has just ended a 6-year war with neighboring Kolechia and reclaimed its rightful half of the border town, Grestin."

It says in the store page that it is a communist state:steamsalty:
What 'bout orbistan? I think it's pr of china, as I seems to be on good terms with arstotzka (also what is ezic?)
Arstotzka must be really good country. Look at line to enter! It keeps inspector working 6-6 and even then there are tonnes left waiting to enter. It also has great health care & health policies, such as vaccine cert and breakthrough spinal surgery techniques. What do you think?

It's communist country.
Lines for everything. It's not that much about demand, but about lack of supply.
