Detaining vs. Denying
what's the difference...?
i hear that later in the game that a guard pays you double for it every so often, though it takes a little more time
i also hear that some suspicious people try to force their way in if they are denied or something...?
if both these facts are true. i should detain everyone, right? for the extra bling?:solar:

I don't think you get the option unless there's a reason to. For example if they say they are staying for 6 months but their work permit says 2 weeks, when you question them and they correct themselves there's no option for detainment, and in fact you don't get penalized for letting them through unless there were some other discrepancy.

Also, you get paid more for allowing someone in than you do for detainment, even if he were to pay you what he said, which is unlikely.

I detain at every chance I get because of Extra money. However, the time you lose from the detaining SEQUENCE adds up quickly. Every 2 detained is 5 credits, but it's possible that you could have made more money by denying them and using the saved time to approve someone

I'd think detaining would be quicker/around the same time, than having to stamp the passport especially later on when you have to stamp them a reason so I prefer doing that. And for the credits, too.

I detain because the guard said his wife is sick, and need the money for her. It touched my heart, and made me arrest every lieing bastard from Kolechia.

i feel as though detaining takes about the samr time as denying...?
also, how much money do you make from detaining and denying? i'm assuming from what's been said above, that you make more denying, even when the guards paying double...?

The guard pays you 5 credits for every 2 detainments. For every successful accept/deny/detain, you get 5 credits as your "Salary". So basically you're getting 15 credits instead of 10. But the time it takes to detain is so long that you might as well save time and grt those credits anyways

Denying gets you way more money... I found out that is you see something wrong (before reasons are required) you can just stamp deny. to detain you not only is there a longer animation, you have to question them, that takes quite a bit of time too. it's far quicker to just see something wrong click the deny button and move on.

detain takes to long in the begging but later on you get paid for the number of people you detain

Once you need to give a reason stamp, I just find detaining much better, you get paid 2.5 credits extra for each detainee, and it's not really that much slower than denying, however before then, between then and when the guards are relocated early on, it may actually be better to just deny
