Game not working - Cant click on anything

One day, randomly, I wasn't able to play the game anymore. Every time I tried to click on something, there was no reaction. My game is literally unplayable because I cannot click on the start button. For extra info, I'm using a Macbook pro and previously this has not been a problem. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling, using a mouse and trackpad, restarting the pc multiple times, everything. And nothing has worked.

Does anyone else have any ideas as to what to do to fix it? Really sucks that I can't play papers please.

It happened to me twice, but I just re-started Steam and all worked fine

I am exactly like this, just purchased the game on the summer sale and I can't click on anything. I tried closing steam and re opening and a ton of stuff but I can't seem to fix it. Hopefully this gets resolved, I was super excited

I have found a temporary fix! If you go to the game in your steam library, right click on Papers Please, go to Properties > Betas > Beta participation and select the Legacy 64 bit version, the game works just fine! Just keep in mind that it might wipe your data.
