2- is there a minimum number of people we need to process each day to stay alive?
3- what do we need to do with these club cards?

1- The game has sounds, you have issues.
2 - You get 5 credits by applicant, so yeah 9-10 applicants per day would be a minimum in order to pay all your debts and save a bit
3 - if you mean the strip-club card : nothing.

do we need to keep out family alive on purpose or can we simply not buy food or heat starting day 1?

If you let all of your family members die, the game will end and you'll be arrested. You can still continue to play the game if at least 1 family member is alive.

As Houdini said, you'll need at least one family member alive to get one of the "true" endings (one of the ending with credits)

just let your family starve evry second day. for example. day 1 dont buy food, day 2 buy food but dont buy heat. day 3 dont buy food but buy heat....
this way no one will ever die and you will have a lot of money.
dont forget to buy medicine for your son

no lol. tahts actually the trick. people who lived in such hard times will always tell you they had to starve. so the game is realistic in this way. no matter how good you are you will never have enough money to feed them

ya u have to process enough applicants to afford expenses at the end of the day, this total changes so you can figure it out. the number of people you process is the number under your speaker when you're at your desk.

when you memorize what to look for, you will be much faster.

game tries to bait you to investigate problem 'x' - once 'x' is identified as a problem - they are not a valid applicant, no need to investigate, just red stamp gg no re.

lol, I would assume so. I have intermittent sound now. However, no method of obtaining the music. I just get the journal closing sound every once in a while. such a strange thing. HDMI via TV sound works just fine.
