Is it worth detaining someone
Calensk told me that for every TWO people I detain, I receive 5 credits. But If it is just possible, i can refuse someone entry to our glorious nation and get 5 credits for each individual I let through or deny. SO detaining someone is actually less profitable than just refusing them?

You are expected to detain certain types of people, failure to do so can be punished.

It is your choice to abuse authority, including whether the penalty is worth making that choice.

It's interesting that you probably don't worry as much about your choices that have a direct impact upon your family.

I'm pretty sure you still get payed for processing someone you detain, Kalenski's bribe is just a bonus.

Thats an answer. Detained visitor counts as usual to salary, PLUS every 2nd gives Calensk's bonus. Counter updates when a visitor ENTERS your chamber, not with your decision, btw.

It's a scam. The money you make by working after refusing entry is greater than the bribe when you take into account how slow the detain animation wastes time you could be using processing people. The only reason to detain is if they refuse to leave your office.

Yes, of course your paycheck is better than the bribe and of course detaining takes a bit more time, but 5 credits for 2 people is a good deal. Think of how important 5 credits can be.
You can upgrade your booth, if you detain like 8 people you get 20 credits which is a good lot so I personally think it's worth it. No hate to you if you don't think so, it's just my opinion :)

you get 5 credits for detaining people and on top of that you get 5 credits per two people, thats a win- win

As others said, you get your paycheck regardless, it doesn't matter if you turn somebody away, let them in or detain them, they still count as processed. Citations (mistakes) are the only thing that matters.

So yes, detaining them and getting a bonus is abolutely worth it, detaining on the average takes about 1 sec longer than normally processing them, but for every 2 detained, you get essentially one processed person for "free". The extra time you lose while detaining people more than makes up for the fact that for every 2 detains you would have to check an additional person, especially later.
