How many people live in Arstotzka?

It seems kinda interesting, since we don't know how big Arstotzka would be in real life, as a communist state

On the map it shows in game, it looks as if it would be as 4 times as big as california

The game is theorised so be set in russia, in an event similar to the berlin wall. Lets use both of these as supports.
The berlin wall was built in 1961 and destroyed 1989. So lets say the game is it in 1970.
The russian population at that time was 130 million.
I'm also using the person above me as support aswell. The statte of california is 423 970 km². I'm sorry for the people that dosen't use metrics, try using an online calculator on that.
The berlin wall was 155kilometers. Looking at the papers please map, it dosen't seem like that big of a place. (I don't know where im going with this).
Beacuse the locations in papers please are states, and not countries, we cant really say that arstotzka has a population of over 100 million.
And since the map is quite small (on the map we can also see a shoreline), we need to distribute the population of roughly 50 million (due to the map being really small, we cant expect every single russian living here). The sizes of the states goes (from biggest to smallest, from what we can see): Obristan, Kolechia, United federation, Arstotzka, Antegria, Impor, Republia.
So, Obristan gets the biggest piece of the cake, with 14 million. Then Kolechia, 10 million. United federation, 9 million. Arstotzka, 8 million. Antegria, 7 million. Impor, 5 million. And lastly, Republia, with 3 million.

So using my flawed logic, lack of logical thinking, and fat out guessing, we can conclude that the glorious country-.

Arstotzka, glory greatest country.

ok everyone, I made a huuuuge mistake in my theory. I said that the game is set in 1970, when the game clearly has an actual time, 1982/1983. So lets re-write the theory.
The population of russia during 1983 was 140 million.
So let's get lazy and say that obristan has 16 million, Kolechia, 11 million, United fed, 10 mil. Arstotzka, 9 mill. Antegira, 7.5 mill. Impor, 6. republia, 4.
So, 9 mill. It's still pretty flawed i beilive.
