M Vonel is perfectly justified in arresting you(Ending 3 "Too honest")

Some people say that Vonel is a jerk for doing what he asks and handing over the info on Ezic, then him immediately arresting you for it.

By this point you have possibly ALREADY helped Ezic, in which case you are a traitor to your country already. You don't have any right to complain here.

But even if you denied the Ezic agent and have no intention of working with them you are still very suspicious. You see these people come up with face masks, handing you coded documents and asking you to let in people who aren't authorized so they can cause trouble. And every time you just let them walk away without detaining them, keeping all their special documents forever until they come to take them back, even if you have no intention of using them.

Also, let's keep in mind that Vonel comes to visit you before you've even gotten into the booth. You haven't seen anyone yet, which means you got those documents yesterday or a few days ago, AND left those documents in your booth overnight rather than reporting it to anyone. That's enough to make you a person of interest right there.

If you were truly loyal to your country you would have either ripped those documents up rather than leave them in your booth, or detained the weird people giving you this stuff. However, you did neither of those things, so that's a pretty shaky premise for plausible deniability. You might not ever directly help Ezic, but even if you don't the inspector does nothing to directly harm them either, like having them arrested when they show up.

Even in a non-dystopian country I think this would be enough to get you fired and investigated.

So, as I said in the title, I don't think there's anything wrong with Vonel having you arrested when you give him the documents. The inspector IS guilty of some shady stuff when it comes to Ezic members, no matted if he never lets their agents in, for the reasons listed above.

That would be hilarious. I was in a bit of a foul mood because of Jorji's mandatory citation in my no citation run, so I let Simon Wens in and when the vengeful father came in asking for his daughters photo back I stamped denied on the daughters photo a bunch of times. I was being pretty mean.
