"Invalid Gender"

I have played the game for several hours so far and I like that it gives you (moral) choices. You can strictly follow protocol but you also have the opportunity to not go by the rules all the time. But one thing really bugs me: the "invalid gender" thing.

Yeah, some people do not "look like" the gender that's on their passport. Why? Because it's damn difficult for transgender people to get the gender on their passport changed. And I know what I'm talking about, I've done it myself. It took years. Many trans people are in that awkward position where they live as their true gender and express themselves the way they feel right. But because it's so difficult to legally change your gender they still have the gender on their passport that was assigned to them at birth. People should not be punished for bad bureaucracy and laws that do not favor trans people (to be very polite here).

I like the position the game puts the player into: making choices either based on loyalty to the law or based on your own moral code. But this thing really f*cked me up and that's why I won't recommend this game to friends and family.

No, that is not true; gender is not a binary, it's a spectrum and just because you say it's 2 while saying other genders oher than Boy/Girl Man/Woman don't exist and are not valid is a bad way of thinking.

Why, why does it matter so much to you if someone, who is their own person, feel another gender or no gender at all when they have that decision and are making it themselves?

It's not like they are forcing you to do the same thing, just like trans and intersex people, they are just trying to live their life as true and as authentic as they can. So, how is that hurting you or personally affecting you to the point of being close minded?

Have you ever just calmly, without assumptions and bias, just sit down with a non-binary or trans person and talk to them?

Because if not, I highly suggest you do in order to get more insight into this type of realm and be better equiped with knowladge so you can have a platform to stand on to advocate your hate if you still hate NB/Trans people after talking to them.

The thing is that it IS a choice. People don't one day just look at themselves and say "I feel like I have no gender!" No, they see what is going on today and go along with the "fad" of being different. That's why you see so many of these non-binary people are social media "famous". That is where they learned they can simply choose to be "different". I can't just say I'm a different gender because I'm not. I can pretend to be different, just as these people do, but pretending does not equal fact.

You can debate with me all you like, explain away. The fact of the matter is people pretend to be something different because they want to feel as if they're unique. They're not, neither am I and neither are you. A chemical imbalance in the brain doesn't mean someone is a potato-gender individual. It means they need to fix the imbalance and get over their idea the world should accept them being something they aren't.

It's male or female, anything else is a lie.
