Papers, Please

I made a forged stamp guide and general cheat sheet
Hi. I compiled an image with every possible forged M.O.A and M.O.L stamp. It doesn't include diplomatic seals but I'll probably do that too since I already have pictures of every possible forged seal too.

General Reference Sheet: https://s3.postimg.org/wzq55tz03/Papers_Please_Cheat_Sheet_2.png

I'm not sure if it's worth refering to the stamps in real-time. It's better to treat it as a guide for the type of forgeries you'll encounter. Better to remember some basic rules... like:

Universal Rule:

* Square stamps should have no initials

Ministry of Admission stamps:

You're looking at stamp shape, initials, and the line in the shield.

* The circle stamp should say M.O.A (instead of M.O.L or nothing)
* Shield should have a "/" slash (not "\" back-slash or "X" or nothing).
* The stamp should be circle or slightly rounded square. If the square is too rounded, it's forged.
* Again, square stamp should not have initials

If in doubt about the direction of the slash, look at the question-mark (?) key on your keyboard to see the correct slash direction. If your keyboard is like mine (UK), anyway. I have no idea if it varies.

For the Ministry of Labor stamps:

* Hammer should face left
* Again, square stamp should not have initials

You don't need to remember any other rules for M.O.L stamps! Forgeries WILL go against one of those two simple rules.

Hope it helps someone out. :D

Some consider it cheating, but who prevents you making similar in paper, would it be cheating? Don't think so.

Nice. I know a few exist but I've never seen a stamp guide. My first cheat-sheet that I made was a horizontal bar that I put at the top of my Windows wallpaper. But now I prefer playing full-screen even if I have to occasionally tab-out since I've gotten used to the issuing cities finally.

Oh, nice idea, i have two monitors, so can have cheat-sheet on second one.
But "underlay" one has really advantage of some added "speed".

I found that pressing escape instantly and tabbing-out actually takes up less game time. :P Unless you pause it while your eyes find the section of the guide you need... But everyone's different. :D

Well, pausing certainly feels "cheaty" to me, i just find it in real time. :)

Sure, it's training wheels anyway. You play it enough and you learn them automatically.

That's the point of cheat-sheets, yeah :)

Not cheating ;) It is also likely a RL worker in same conditions would make a quick reference sheet for himself on his desk

Well, you DO have reference sheet in the game, but it has several pages, takes too much time :)

And some still do consider everything of this cheating

Not that I really care, but if you really are interested in "playing how its meant to be played" you're totally supposed to use the rule book, a lot.

I just really like that the OP calls foul at using paper notes, but gushes on a wallpaper that is exactly the same thing, L.O.L.

I don't care what people think is cheating anyway. Besides, my god, sometimes you put a game on to chill out. I've said for years; if challenge/reward is so important every time I'd start my own company, not pump hours in to game out of some sense of duty. The correct way to play a game is the way you enjoy most. It's not ALWAYS about challenge. Games are toys. People take it way too seriously. And I hate that old "what's the point of playing it like that" comeback. Everyone's different and if I genuinely enjoy playing something like this, who are they to say I don't!?!? I'm not entering competitions or anything. Cheating can mar the satisfaction of winning but, ffs, sometimes I just want to chill a bit, or I've completed it before and just want to play around, or - and try to grasp this - sometimes people genuinely need the extra help because they have different naturally abilities. The error margin in the game is razor thin anyway.

That rant was aimed at people that aren't even here but I feel better that it's out there. :P
