Bags
Seriously, game is quite awesome but bag is so, so, so small.
I feel like I spend more time running back to town than hackandslashing :'(

Or did I miss something in my first couple of hours in game ?
(well I know I probably missed a lot, but.. bag related ?)

The inventory is a homage to Diablo 1/2 and it's size will never increase. Just don't loot everything, you are not supposed to do that.

I played those (mainly D1) but didn't remember that pain. Or I had more town portal scrolls.
If I pick only oranges and yellow, I won't have such problem for sure... 2 in 3h ig.

Anyway, cool game.

You can pick up blues to, if you return to town at every waypoint.

I agree, it may be an homage but it is a bit on the wee side, I spend quite a lot of time shuffling objects around so I can fit extra stuff in. Just a little bit bigger please, or chance of looting extra pouches like in most mmos

In the early game only pick up blues that you think might be an upgrade for you, and rares. Eventually you will find enough scrolls and stuff. Also pick up items that have linked sockets of each color (R,B,G), 5 and 6 linked items, 6 socketed items, and of course uniques. I have never had a problem with this. Eventually you don't have to pick up magic items at all and you only should be picking up rares to either use as upgrades, stash, or sell. Even with my lvl 76 magic find character, I don't have to go back to town that often, and when I do, it is easy enough to ID stuff and then head right back into the action. I made this mistake when I first started playing too. I thought that to build up currency I would have to pick up and sell almost everything on the ground. Don't worry about that for now. Just play the game and the scrolls will start flowing in and don't worry about currency yet.

Pretty much what the others said, you just have to be selective and use waypoints when you come across them :)

That's some quite cool advice shredguitar7690, thanks mate.

Fortunately you can pick items, for example in diablo2 the inventory was full of charms so no really lot of space to pick items.

All you need to pick up is rares, unis, rgb links, 5/6 linked, 6 sockets, flasks with quality, orbs, skill gems.
Usually amounts to 1-2 maps before having selling to vendors etc.

It's a good pace if you don't pick up every ♥♥♥♥.

Agh... this is my bugbear. I absolutely love this game but I'm one of those 'thorough' players who clears a map before progressing onward. I like to loot everything and pickup everything (ARPG OCD! :P) Everything is worth something in my book. I've already created my own guild just to create stash tabs for me and a couple of RL friends.

Yeah, I'm currently trying a compromise: in a level with a waypoint I usually make a few roundtrips to sell off whites (so I can get those identify-scrolls).

Otherwise I just pick up blues or yellows, jewelry, the stackables (scrolls, orbs), skill gems. I also check the socket configuration on potentially interesting whites; but I don't usually make roundtrips in such levels.

For now, I'm selling all blues that don't look interesting, and I keep all yellows. Will probably have to make additional accounts at some point, as the stash is shared. Or maybe try and weed out the yellows.

Learn to let go, man. Blues are not worth it. Only get the linked or quality ones. After I stopped I could clear 2 waypoints before going to shop.

Do make sure to sell enough blues in the beginning to have an adequate stock of augmentation/alteration baubles, though, and those oh-so-important identification scrolls.

It helps to always dump currency, or fragments, into the shared stash. If you buy something from a vendor that uses currency, it's taken directly from the stash. That should free up two columns already. :) Town portal scrolls get more frequent later on, so you'll have an abundance of them. You can also buy them with wisdom scrolls.

I think the inventory size is workable. It doesn't feel unusually small to me, but since you can see links of stuff on the ground, I only pick up yellows and items with the socket combination I may want/need. With new characters I also tend to pick up all blue boots while trying to get a pair with faster run speed.
