Item stash not shared with a new character?

Here's my problem: I just created a new character but when i try to open my stash with him, it's empty and the stash tabs aren't colored/labeled like they are with my previous characters.

Is this normal or is this a known issue? Do i have to reach a certain level to be able to acces my shared stash with a new character?

you probably made a character in a different league

Definitely must of been a league thing. It usually defaults you to the more interesting leagues that are currently going on.

Check to see if it's on hardcore or not as all newly created characters are automaticly put into hardcore. So, if you want it in normal league which I assume which is what your other character is then die or something to put you in normal or "default" or w/e it is. If that doesn't help then check what league your in and see if it's the same as your other character.
