Boss reset help please!! (Vaal oversoul)

So I did Vaal oversoul w/ a bunch of people. They killed him just when I died and had to go back to town. When I'm back, I can still see the loot, but the quest got broken or sth. I can't place the apex, the exit is not opened, and I can't figure out how to reset the boss. I tried Ctrl + click on the Caverns, I went back to town, I restarted the game. Nope. HELP please :(.

You die and went back to town when VAAL was killed. You did not get credit for the kill. You have to redo Vaal Oversoul quest. BTW this is common.

What do you mean by redo? starting from where? I have the apex. Do I have to kill all the bandits again? On my quest, it only says I had to kill Vaal oversoul.

You have to kill VAAL. You do not have to do the bandit quests again. Just join a group that going to kill VAAL Oversoul.

Joining another group reset the boss. Ctlr+click on the town WP to the pyramid wp will reset the instance/boss.

The pyramid doesn't have WP, only the Caverns leading to the pyramid. So even if I reset the Caverns, the pyramid is still the same, which is kinda stupid ><. Anyway, thks, I'll just keep an eye out for another group.

Ok go to the Caverns old WP instance. When there is a loading screen go back down. Cltr+Click on the stair to start a new instance.
