idk about the health but i know there is a gem for minion and totem resistance, idk if it is worth it since i dont use totems so much. i play melee and i have the reju totem only in maps with 50% slower healrate.

cast on stun maybe, works well with decoy also

I would also suggest cast when damage taken if you have the space for it, lets be honest EVERY build should have that gem in it, even after the minor nerf it is still stupidly broken.

i would not respond to it but u used capital letters for every built so i have too ;/
cwdt's only use is to link it it with trade chat so that scrubs pay to much for sth that they dont need...
reasons for this
cwdt becomes worse the higher u level it -> u can only link low level gems with cwdt -> u wasted ur slots for low level gems
link with a totem -> totem dies after 1 hit
link it with immortal call -> u overwrite ur (short) invulnerability as soon as there r elemental dmg enemys
link it with molten shell -> u block ridiculessly 400 dmg and get armor buff for 0,1 secs, probably less time
link it with endouring cry -> u can only cast it when u already recive dmg instead of activating it BEFORE u get dmg

i gave u reasons why cwdt is a noobpwner now pls return the favor and tell me when cwdt is necessary.

Okay, admitedly every build is somewhat of an exaggeration, but any life based builds that use life on hit or life leech, and any melee builds should be using it.

So every build other than summoners.

Why wouldn't you use it? You do not need to have lost X amount of health, merely taken X amount of damage, if you are leeching as the majority of builds will be in some form of another it really doesn't take long to proc, in high end maps its very easy to have to have it activate 2-3 times every fight, even more so if you are a pure melee.

You act like molten shell doesn't do ♥♥♥♥, well it will deal 2000+ base damage to everything around you, add on a life leech gem and suddenly you will be getting a nice big chunk of HP returned to you.

If you are an armour tank then it will be adding on 1000+ base armour...

Combine that with enduring cry, pick up a few nodes so you can rock 5 endurance charges, combined with that additional armour from molten shell you can get 20% all resistances and close to 30% physical resistance.

Then ofcourse we come to curses, temporal chains? Vulnerability? Take your pick there are a number of decent curses you can combine with CWDT that will increase your survivability, or damage output depending on your build.

You can get ALL of this without casting animation or mana cost (Mostly), added together it offers a huge chunk of survivability and all you need is a spare 4 link, seeing as most builds will run with 1 or 2 attacks central usually in a 5 or 6 link, that will leave your helm boots and gloves open, 1 for auras ofcourse.

If you are a heavy aura user like myself who uses blood magic gems you could always attach an artic armour to the gem, you don't need what small mana supply you have left and you can get a sweet 6 seconds of flat damage reduction which is always a pleasure.

Personally I use CWDT as well as Cast when stunned, not every build needs it to be viable but damn near every one of them would benefit from having it in there.

(As for the, I have already taken the damage arguement, that really is silly...

You enter a fight with a monster, he damages you, but you kill him, you win the fight. Good job!

You enter a fight with a monster, or monsters, they damage you, your CWDT kicks in and gives you a nice hunk of armour negating further attacks or burst damage that could potentially kill you, your life leech then gets a chance to stabalize your HP and you kill the monster... Good job!

Where is the downside here? What exactly have you lost from putting this gem in your build?))

@OP, It can work with rejuvination totem, for a while I had it hooked up to my 5l but I found that, whilst the totem can be very helpful the 5l simply wasn't worth using up and there are so many other much more useful gems to attach to CWDT in a 4l. See above for suggestions, I am sure there are many more ^_^.

actually i am melee fighter and i used to use cwdt prenerf with molten shell and 6 endourance charges and i have to tell u that i think that the dmg calculations are somehow wierd since the molten shell was lvl 18 and it usually exploded as soon as it was cast.

however, the idea of linking it with lifeleech is very intriguing. (not for me since i have 5%lifeleech from deaths oath and another 10% lifeleech from blood rage but i see ur point there)

i have linked my endouring cry and immortal call in my gloves and my enfeeble and reju totem in my helmet with faster casting and blood magic and i like to be able to cast my high level curse and endouring cry/immortal call at my will and not when i already lost 3k life.

my conclusion, cwdt doesnt fit my playstyle but i see that people can put it to good use for their playstyle, thx for enlightning me :)
