Passive Skill Points - Totals (w/Bandit Quests via 3 Passives)
Hi,

Sorry if i'm regurgitating an old subject but I googled for a while and still couldn't find a solid answer to a very basic question.

As I write this I believe I'm going to go and count (manually) the amount of passives I have and try to figure it out... but if anyone has any clue as to how many TOTAL passive points a character can get (with the 3 extra passive rewards from the bandit quests) that'd be great.... yeah..

Note: I'm generally a tad confused because I read the skill tree on PoE's website hasn't shown the correct passives before so I'm making sure I'm not building without a verifiable pathway known to me.

Thanks!

- and generally I know 120 is wrong, it's the default for the tree planner but I loaded several of my characters (who have/haven't gotten passives from bandit quests) and they're all 120.
- I'm guessing it's 123. If so then common sense does work sometimes...

So my lvl 77 Scion has 97 points.
- 3 Points from Bandit Quests
- Rest by completing all Quests and Leveling (checked /passives)

It says I have 23 Points left on the tree... making it then a total of 120 at max level.

So therefore, i think my problem lies with the notion that I guess if you don't get any passives from any of the bandit quests, you'll actually only have 117 points. I'm also guessing the tree is just compensating for the maximum, without regard to if you choose to help a bandit or not, it's just there for development of builds and not each individual character's in-game choices.

Right.

99 Passives for leveling
18 Passives for doing the Quests (6 on Each Difficulty, 1x Crab, 1x Fairgraves, 1x Opening the Connection between Act 1+2, 1x Finding all 3 Busts, 2x Killing Piety)
3 from killing the Bandits
___
120 in total

However, you shouldn't build around that number, it's very likely that you'll never get past 85+ or so.

Is it difficult levelling past 75 or something?

It's not "difficult", but it takes a loooooooot of time leveling 80+. And everytime you die, you lose 10% of your EXP, so if you don't play too cautious or desync a lot, then just get stuck. Also, most people play more than 1 Char, because playing the same char all the time can become boring relatively "fast".

Levelling get's difficult around 84. Any game area is worthless for experience; you must run maps for good experience at this point. The problem is, most of your maps will be 66-69, which are not good experience (you want 70+).

I'm 33% to 86, and 84-85 took me about 65 map runs (one death). The very few 74 and 75 maps I got gave me a decent chunk of experience (7% of a level), but the vast majority were 66-69's which gave 1% a level or less. Buying 74 maps (if you can find them for sale), will run 20+ chaos each; unless you are ultra-rich, I'd say make 85 your goal.

I would safely assume that any additional Act that might be coming down the pike soon might fill that void... or maybe not, depending how they go about it.
