Vaal Pact needs a buff (?)

I'm a Vaal RF user (the one that booms all your hp and ES at 120% rate).
I've tried to use Vaal Pact, as everyone suggest. I get Life Leech from warlord's mark (will do until lvl 31, actualy Life Leech gem).
The problem is that Vaal Pact works at 40% of Life Leech. If I deal 750 damage, with 5% LL, I'll only get 40% of it: 15 hp.

With the upcoming Life Leech rework (from damage to max hp), vaal pact should get a buff. I don't know, maybe 75%? or 60? Because I don't want to regen only 10 hp. Vaal pact is worse than a LGOH gem :/

I still don´t understand what you are trying to say.
So you don´t like the progression of your character? You´d like him to be as strong as he is gonna ever be, right from the beginning?

well, whatever, you´ll get over it. I did only reach lvl 70+ maps with my third character. I was pissed too when the first two builds i had, failed so miserably. If you want some advice: Play an easier build until you fully understand the game. If you are up for something more complicated by then, you can give it a shot.

Noo. What I want is to play the whole game, or at least cruel fully with a stable build.
The basics, at least. I am doing good with vaal RF but vaal pact is just a joke. Turning 750 dmg into 15 hp is a complete joke, a LGOH gem does way better.

Atm all I want is for vaal pact to be buffed. At least to 50%.

Thats how vaal pact works:

Without Vaal Pact, life leech occurs at a base rate of 20% of maximum life per second. The duration is the leech amount divided by the leech rate. Multiple hits do not stack; only the fastest leech at any point in time will recover life. The maximum leech rate is thus 20% of maximum life per second. With Vaal Pact, the amount leeched is reduced to 40%, but the leech is instant, so the full amount will be leeched regardless of timing or magnitude of hits. The amount leeched is thus only limited by damage dealt.

in short: Normally you can only leech up to 20% of your maximum life per second. With Vaal pact your leech only depends on dmg. So it really becomes usefull only later on, when your damage is higher.

The problem isn´t with your build or the game or vaal-pact. You just took a skill, that you shouldn´t have at this point. The person who wrote your build on some forum, most likely didn´t use vaal pact until late game. Its actually NOT usefull for your build yet. You´d be better of without it.
You can use one respec point and get it undone.

I don't have vaal pact on atm, and I don't know if Vaal Pact will still work as damage after the beta is done.
My main point is that if you deal 750 dmg and only get 15 hm, that's a ♥♥♥♥ ratio.
You really have to deal tons and tons of damage to profit from it..

Like album said, It becomes very useful later, like when you're dealing 10k damage each to 10 mobs with 20% leech. You leech back 2000 damage, and at 40% leech effectiveness, that's 800 health back from each creature, 8-12k health returned in this example.

Originally VP gave full leech, but you got nothing from regen or healing potions. That was insanely op, with the only real issue was running chaos damage maps.

the damage:life ratio also changes over time.
Just as example: My static strike marauder does about 45k dps but has only 5500HP. And alot of characters do easily more damage than that.
