Does path of exile have quest markers?

In what respect? Do they highlight specific objectives on your minimap? No. But if you select the quest in the world map/quest log, it will place a yellow gear-like border around the zone the quest takes place in. There are exclamation marks above npc's with completed quests to turn in, I believe. To be honest, the quests are all so routine for me by now that I don't even pay attention to them most times.

Well, they do get marked on your minimap but they basically have to be on your screen anyways before they'd appear on the map. Zone entrances are an exception. I see them through walls quite often but I really appreciate that.
