[solved] PoE1 crashes when I open it. Was not doing this before today.

guys i fixed it. you can try this:

go to steam library
right click on path of exile -> click properties
click installed files
click 'Verify integrity' button

wait and do not do ANYTHING on steam until its finished.
reason i say this is because i downloaded an update for another game, and it caused the integrity thing to finish illegitamately.

after its finished it should say something like 'x files failed to validate and will be reacquired'
open PoE and play

same. mine is crashing about 2 mins in now. didn't have this issue at all until PoE2 launched

Verifying my Files didn’t do anything for me, but weirdly playing without headphones plugged in did fix it. 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️
