BUG - Map System

Hello, I have a big problem in Path of Exile. I recently finished Act 10 with a friend (we play co-op, just the two of us), and the map system is now available. We've tested it several times, and every time we place a map into the device, multiple portals open. But as soon as one of us tries to enter, we get disconnected from the server.

When we reconnect, the portals are still there, so we try again, but once more, we get disconnected from the server. We've attempted this several times over multiple days, using new maps (we don't have many left now), and it's still impossible to enter: server disconnection every time.

How does this work? Is the game just broken, or is there some trick to bypass these bugs that have never been fixed?

Strange. It works fine for me. But I play alone.

I checked several forums and found that this is a well-known issue affecting many players. The problem only occurs in co-op and not in solo play, which means the game is broken in this regard and has never been fixed—pretty crazy, honestly. We played through the entire game in co-op, and I wanted to keep playing with my friend. It’s really disappointing.

There are potential workarounds, like starting a map in solo mode and then inviting your teammate afterward. Also, between each map, you would have to leave the party, exit the game, then reconnect before starting again... What a hassle. This will probably mark the end of the game for us.

"never been fixed" when this only started with poe 2 EA is bit of a stretch.

Sure, they should´ve fixed it by now, but are busy with 2, as said multiple times, vastly underestimated the amount of work.

From every single person i heard with that problem they just had to join another person for a map, and that fixed it.
With using your hideout map device (like you should anyway) and not the epilogue town one kirac offers you your first quest.

Just ask in global chat if someone would help you with that, or drop a time here you will be online and maybe i can open one for you.

Thank you very much for the tip! We actually haven’t tried launching the map from the hideout (I never really go there), so we’ll give it a shot. If that fixes the issue, that’s all that matters.

You really want to use your hideout.

You got your crafting bench there, can customize the layout, vendors, and you can´t even use some endgame things from town map device

After testing, it does indeed work perfectly from the hideout. I’ve always been too lazy to organize it since I don’t plan to spend a crazy amount of time on the game, but I’ll set up the basics so I can do everything from there now.
