I've always been on GGG's side... at some point it won't work anymore.
I was supporting GGG since begining, and i truly believed that they will keep PoE alive as they said.. fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice... lets say that good will gained over the years was just flushed down the drain. Thanks Jonathan.
I dont get this outrage people have tbh. The company is still great imo. They even stated when 0.2.0 gets released that they will be able to start work on poe1 again. so imo its not being abandoned.
This right here, is a great example of the perfect customer. Someone who blindly believes whatever gets dished out, never asks questions, and is apparently incapable of reading between the lines. Corporations love people like this.
12 years later, and the fanbase still feels they are owed something. Get real, no company will do "updates for life". Its just not realistic.
people like you can go play poe2 and enjoy the garbage, no one cares so ♥♥♥♥ off.
Nope, you just sound like an entitled brat with this reply.
And now, for one or another reason, he's gone. Maybe he had burned out, maybe he didn't feel strong enough to pull that monstrous beast which poe1 became on his shoulders anymore or maybe he was kicked out by some corporate intrigues, who knows. And the game fell into the hands of soulless corporate money craving business macabres.
And they put two dorks as game directors of poe1 and poe2, named Jonathan and Mark, who are probably also genuine developers and gamers, but clearly they wasn't gifted a tenth of the bald guy's talent and vision. Some of you may think that poe2 is clearly a success, in terms of money especially, and yeah, you are absolutely right, but that concord of inspired players and inspired developers seems to be gone for good, this little miracle that warmed our hearts in this cold greedy and dark world is dying right now, before our very eyes...
And so the dark times has come...
