Summoning a Beyond boss requires you to be in a map that has the "Slaying Enemies Close Together Has a Chance to Summon Monsters from Beyond" mod, or something like that, and spawning Beyond monsters in maps like that have a very small chance to summon a boss. You'll know when it's happened because they're massive, and they appear as an icon on your minimap.
There can only be up to one beyond boss per map, so if you've killed them already, further shrines are fair game.
I'd also try to get mechanics on the map that bring mob density at certain places, like expedition, trying to improve the chances for the boss to spawn.
