As for Pando Media Booster, it's used in games like League of Legends, Elsword, etc... It's basically a torrent. It downloads the game files for the game from other users to "speed up" the process, but it also wrecks your bandwitdth on the way. It's no big deal if you have no bandwidth cap and fast internet.
There is no Pando Media Booster because everything is downloaded through Steam.
The basic idea of PMB was noble but what they actually do is, they steal your bandwitdth.
With certain games PMB installs itself in the background, without the user ever notifying that it used your bandwitdth. That is almost a criminal act in my eyes because who knows if they don't use some of the bandwitdth for themselves.
I had no problem if they clearly stated what PMB did but I only found out about this through my task manager, because there was always a certain process that started with windows, that I wasn't familiar with.
