Question - What's the first maps you can find bismuth or verisium deposits in?

So far I've just made it to the first town in act 5. Do bismuth deposits spawn in act 5 or before or do they not show up until later in the game?

This is misinformation, You need to pgrade the mine to gather the ores, but not to find them.

Bismuth was quite late into the campaign, something like Act 7 or so. But I'm not sure anymore

Do you have to kill every enemy on the map before your miners can harvest the bismuth ore?

No just the ones related ot the event. I'm not sure what the event for bismuth is though.

Bismuth is the one where you just click it and it's marked for collection. It modifies magic/rare monsters and alters the area to contain more elemental stuff in return.

How rare is bismuth? Considering it's needed for upgrading Kingmarch I will probably be looking for a lot of it.

I had like 4 patches show up in a row going through act 6 then nothing but orichalcum till i found another today. It may be that different zones have different rates for each ore but I don't know the details.

It's good to know that it can be found in act 6. So here's my plan, first take out all the monsters on the map but leave the chests and other containers untouched then harvest the bismuth and open up all those unopened chests/containers afterwards.

The most efficient way would be to continue forward through the Acts. You get more ore in higher level areas, so you won't need to find it as often.

Some people like to farm Blood Aqueducts in Act 9. Hold Ctrl when clicking on the portal to create a new instance of it.

That's likely to be map exclusive and fairly rare at that.

That's too bad. Like bismuth, it is needed to upgrade Kingmarch.

Don't try to fully upgrade the town while leveling. Especially, don't try repeatedly farm the same areas.

You will get a lot more ore and other loot when you get to maps.

Same with gold, instead of getting a 100-1000 here and there, you will start to get 10k-100k per map (or a similar change in order of magnitude).

It is useful to do the league mechanic while leveling, you will get currency and upgrades, great stuff. But, focusing on it early wastes a lot of time compared to pushing forward through the acts.

For verisium it does seem to be limited to atlas maps. Next time I find some I'm going to have to wait until it spawns at least 40 or more ore before starting. the encounter.

Hmmm... Seems 50 ore was too much as the rare critter that spawned killed me all 6 times before I could collect any.
