How can I unlink my PoE from steam?

I accidentally linked my Steam library to my old PoE account and would like to unlink it now. The reason being that I no longer have access to the email this version was registered on. As a result I can't even wright my request to support since in order to do that they need me to "confirm my account" via my old email which I can no longer do. So is there a way to do it from steam or am I stuck not playing on steam?

Since the account changes in preparation of PoE2 you can't unlink steam anymore without the help of GGGs support.

I'm in a close situation. Their support is so overwhelmed since PoE 2 launch, their support web mail server has been unable to accept my e-mail's till yesterday.

Now it looks like my mail reached but expecting an answer anytime soon would be absurd probably.
