how good is new arctic armor?

since it reduces the dmg by % can i now tank vaal or is it the same as with regular armor (where big hits ignore the dmg reduction of the armor)

ehh...♥♥♥♥ comparde to the old artic armour? at least going by the qq at the time of the change in beta, realy don't know...supposed to be viabale for more builds now though

It doesn't cost any active mana anymore, so it works like any other aura. I'm using it on a magma orb caster, and it's handy for the chilled ground when i mobbed. You can't just facetank with it on though.

old arctic armour = great vs small hits, mediocre vs medium hits, bad vs big hits.
new arctic armour = bad vs small hits, mediocre vs medium hits, great vs big hits.

Maybe Arctic armour physical damage reduction is separate from armour phys dmg reduction.
