There is also a reduced mana (support) gem, that might help you on high-mana-cost skills. Or passives to increase your mana regen.
In some cases you can also use bloodmagic to cast (specific spells) with you life + high life regen/leech/gain on hit.
Eldritch battery converts your energy shield into mana, so you'd have quite some extra depending on your armor, at the cost of damage mitigation.
TLDR, which is longer than the above post.
If mana usage is super high, going Eldricht Battery (EB) with decent amount of mana regeneration is better.
If the skill hit hard physically, the Mind Drinker node near shadow would be enough to get back what you used.
Or Blood Magic node / germ if the build has high life regeneration with life leech.
If playing as Marauder / Duelist, go Blood Magic.
If playing Witch / Scion, there are plenty of mana regen near the starting area, and with EB / Clarity, you would have plenty of mana to use. Only of some mana hungry skill on 6L.
For Templar, you could go either Blood Magic, or took the mana regen node.
Eldricht Battery is preferably for whoever wondering near the witch tree, and has no need for Energy Shield.
Sure enough you could use EB as a Marauder or a Duelist, but the path to go and grab the node is so far far away. I'd just get more STR / HP then use BM for those 2 guys.
What is the name of the mana node? In the skill tree?
also the more mana you have the better your regen [ by default 1.8%/second ]
