Beginner Semi Noob: I'm Trying Out a Scion Blade Vortex Build

So I saw the new skills and they looked really cool so I looked up a PoE scion (because I'm in act 4 normal, so why not?) build for blade vortex and it isn't really step by step (I don't think a lot of them are) so I got no idea how to level until I get blade vortex. And the items. And links. And whatever. So any tips, as well as (maybe) a bit of a walkthrough? Items, links, sockets, gems, etc. Probably my biggest question is what my leveling skill will be until I get blade vortex.

Blade vortex is obtained just before killing merveil, not that long of a wait. I'd say just use any skill/spell you're comfortable with until then, maybe use something that benefits from the same skillpoints as blade vortex would.

leveling "until" is always a huge pain, so just use anything you can get to kill stuff, but stick to the build in terms of skill point allocation, when leveling..aka use any ability or auto attack if need be "until"..but I've not tried this skill or skill build, so it may be an advanced (aka need lots of endgame items) build, in which case you are stuck using a newb build "until" reaching late endgame, when you respec and equip the needed gear to make the build work.
