I'm not selling anything
I'm just wondering, what's the best way to trade and check prices on uniques? I'm also curious if anyone actually gets any trading done in those trade channels. It just seems like countless spam. So help a bro out, how do I trade?

Poe.trade bud is your best choice :) Its a third party program, but we all use it as far as i know. Also look into a third party program called Procurement :) Helps you sell your stuff. Good luck, write me a private message if you need any help with them programs :)

Or Acquisition.

Trade chat is almost pointless, indeed.

Yep, checking poe.trade 's website for prices buying or selling is the way to go, far less painful than trying to make sense out of bots spamming trade.

http://www.poe.trade

that's the answer to both questions.

What they are saying, is to set up a "shop" on the poe forum, and the easiest way to do this almost automatcially is through a program called procurement or acquisition. Having items listed on your shop in the forums also makes your items available on poe.trade (aka poe XYZ) which is a searchable market of all items listed in the forums. Do this and you can easily play your game and people will come to YOU for your trades, or you can search xyz to get the exact item you need to progress.

Also, one thing I feel I have to ask is this: where do you play?

Because if you play Standard, trading won't be smooth at all. Mainly because people already have pretty much everything they want. And if they don't, then probably a friend does.

I can't even imagine how bad it must be for those who play SC Standard...

Thanks for all the replies. So is there anyway to use POE.TRADE without a third party program? I've been using it for price checks and been selling stuff using the notice board but obviously that's not very ideal. Honestly I'm not interested in trading(trading communities are usually very annoying) but I've got a bunch of extra uniques and some are apprently worth trading, it'd be a shame to just vendor them out of laziness. I also need that unique summoner wand and it's just not dropping, I think I got every other possible witch weapon though of course.

I'm currently on SC Standard but when the league comes out I always shift to that for the duration.

poe.trade to look for things to buy/check prices (make sure you're "online" if you are selling)

http://www.poeprice.info/ helps with pricing if you are trying to sell a large amount of items

Finally, you can use Procurement to set up shop by posting a persistent thread at the poe trade forum
Once you set up shop the buyers keep on coming, even on standard.

I just noticed you're worried about 3rd party programs like Procurement.
You shouldn't be. It uses your browser credentials from when you log in to poe forums, and you never give them your actual password, so it's safe.

Oh, that explains a lot. Don't forget that SC Standard has been acumulating currency and items for the past three years or so. It must be a trader's nightmare.

There's nothing to be concerned about. You don t need Procurment but poking your eyeballs with forks would eb funner than not using it.
Thanks for the attitude but where did I say that I'm afraid of using one? I'm just asking if there's the option. I clearly implied that I'm not interested in any long term trading so a third party program seems a bit overboard for my needs. If you can't reply to simple help topics without lashing out like a weirdo you shouldn't bother trying to help, fyi.

@Roybaty- thanks for the info.

@Awka Liwen- What exactly does that explain? I know all about how saturated SC is. I'm not asking about specific prices I'm just asking which is the best way to buy and sell.

Poe.trade

Which is the EXACT same thing as the Diablo 3 Auction House.

Poe.Trade is useful because the drop rates in game are terrible, and it would be far too time consuming to play the game yourself, it would be much more efficient to buy it off of someone else, having eliminated your need to play the game completely.

I don't think the drop rates are that terrible. I've been playing mostly solo or coop without trading for a long time and only now have I hit a wall where I could use a couple pieces of gear to help me survive.

Eliminate the need to play, is that saracasm or am I reading it wrong?

@Insertprofilenamehere- So instead of apologizing for attacking me over nothing you're gonna double down and keep it up? I don't understand why you're bothering. Before you came into the topic everyone was cool and the discussion was helpful. Why don't you go bother someone else.
