but basic idea is 2hand do more damage vs 1hand
but many games has change what other call game core rules, in how each class should be so
stick to tha basic is always good, whats the point to make a warrior a caster or other way around and then you have paladin that in the middle, but again depend on play style, so try to do that, use X to switch weapons so you do have backup style, heh
2h vs 1h strongly depends on the char u made, some have more good passive points for 2H for 1H and Shield or for Dual Weild.
if you go for dual weild you can get the bonus of 2 weapons
and if you go for 2H you might get a 2. 5L or even 6L besides ur armor in end game
if you gonna use 2 skills which need a lot of support gems, maybe go for marauder and 2H weapons.
if you have one main skill you can choose ranger or duelist for dual weild and just put the aruas / single gems in the 1H weapons
scion works for everything ofc^^
up to 2x3L*
two sets of affixes (most likely both offensive)
typically alternate weapons when attacking, this can be stopped by using one weapon that's not compatible with the skill you use
due to attack speed increase, "per hit" effects such as life gained on hit appear frequently
two sets of affixes (one of which is likely to be defensively used, making capping of resistances easier than ever)
relatively high block chances
one set of affixes**
often high damage per attack/hit (so high damage per mana used; effects that trigger based on damage of an attack such as bleeding (damage), elemental status effects (duration) or stun (likelyness) are more effective)
typically longer weapon range than one-handers
* these links are calculated for the weapon slot only and ignore possible links through "socketed gems are linked..."
** bows as an exception have a second set with the quivers you should use together with them
Well you can't. Two handed weapons have greater potential DPS.
Have you seen some of the one haded weapons?
http://imgur.com/wpgHq1N or http://i.imgur.com/JAkXJp8.png for example beats most average 2 handed weapons, get 2 plus the additional boosts to dual weilding and it puts it up there above the best 2 hander i'd seen of 700 dps
What is this 6L you speak of?
Sometimes people have 7L when their 6L item also has a gem as an affix (e.g. "Socketed gems are supported with level 1 Blind")
Hey, It's you!
You can always 6L your armor, so dual wield is better for pure DPS. Two handed is better for ♥♥♥♥ like stun, but worse for dPS.
