first time i took me about a few days , like act 1 to act 8. i think about 2-4 days? following phox rf chieftan guide is amazing.

but now after 1-2 league. i can complete the campaign speed rushing in a day or 2. i think since im still quite new.

ill be able to get done in less than 6 hours. after another league.

to be honest, the story i got from mainly youtube poe history act 1 to 10. because like the game , act 1- act 10 is more like 5% of the game. 95% of the game is mostly in the end game after act10. so thats why i think most people said speed rush to mapping , end game. cus there's alot to do there.

POE doesn't have much of a story, but if you enjoyed reading tons of textwalls lying all over in-game, sure.

But I'd say it's a waste of time since the game doesn't reward your time spent on reading lore.

POE1 doesn't have much of cinematic to explain the game story, even after 10 years of the game development.

Which means even the game developer doesn't care about the story.

So it's the same "hack and slash some baddies, repeat, end", as any other cheap mobile games that doesn't need to explain the story in-game.

Long way to go for GOTY-wannabe.

Acts you can finish without grinding at all.

But as said, they are only a very small part of the game, and the story continues after that.

If you are interested in the lore, would recommend kittencatnoodle on yt, she got act lore videos and endgame stuff.

Would also recommend to ignore whatever the person above said, they are trolling the steam forum forever.

https://discord.gg/pathofexile is a better place to ask for help etc, the channels there are moderated so you don´t have people like that one in it

Depends. If youre experinced with ARPGs and follow a guide you can beat it in around 10 hour the first time. Without experience and a guide to follow it might take 20 hour or so, or more.
Probably a week or so if you're taking your time soaking up the lore, listening to the lore etc. There's a lot to see, hear and read so you're in for some fun for sure.

There's no grinding to complete the story (acts) and if you're actually in it for the story you'll actually be overleveled.

I don't get why most people have ignored your question and are acting as if you're just trying to beat the game haha

Check out KittenCatNoodle on YouTube, she has some very long and in-depth lore videos.

You will miss a lot of lore just playing the campaign. It's like Elden Ring where a lot is told through environmental story telling and flavor text on items.

"There is no story, if you ignore the story text"?

Compared to Diablo, where you click on NPCs and read walls of text.

The gameplay is killing baddies, repeat, end. After you beat the game, you increase the difficulty and do it again.

Hope you enjoy! Only thing to really take notice of to have a safe journey to the end-game is resistances are the main reason you will die, choose resistances over most stats until your resistances are all capped (chaos isn't as necessary until endgame) press c and defences to see.

You'll probably have a good few more messages saying you need this and this and this but you don't, it definitely helps but it's by no means necessary.

If this question ever arises for a game, there's a website dedicated to that topic.

https://howlongtobeat.com/game/6938

Scroll down a bit to see more details, you can see medians, rushed vs relaxed etc.
