Any tips for a new player starting POE ?

I just saw the trailer of the league and this is the time i wanna play POE u got some tips how i should prepare for this league ? I never played this game and i wanna learn as much as possible in 1 week any tips would be appreciated thank you guys in advance

Don;t follow any youtubers or streamers they r fake asf , learn game via Trials and errors u will learn more also this upcoming league is ideal for making currency easy . Melee always bad even with many buffs unless u have multiple mirror worth items , spells though slight better but r best if it's traps or mines or minions not otherwise .

it will be impossible to do a meta build, as you won't have the resources or unique items collected from past games, try a beginner build, after getting some currency you can try more meta stuff

Youtube is a massive bait. They tell you oh you dont even need this helmet and this wand is total garbage. no one makes a video until they have some super expensive thing no one else can recreate. It's all based on ego and they just want to show off what they can do.

Just learn the concepts, basic mechanics that make the character playable.

It's because unless people are using unique items. getting the exact same gear pieces as the next person is impossible. Unless you actually trade that person for the gear, which can be done and people do sell their builds. But then are you even playing the game at that point?

It's all about character progression, grinding, and completing all the challenges.

I am a new player to PoE. I have had issues with story progression. there are some points where the game will crash and not even give a crash report. there were ways around it for me but i dont know the cause or a real fix.

It just depends on the type of experience you wanna have. If you are ok with dying a LOT and learning a lot, but you're somewhat familiar with ARPGs and understand some of the basics, going in blind is an awesome experience (for a while)

But if you're not very experienced in stuff like Diablo I'd recommend just going and following some beginner youtube guides. Mainly people like Zizaran are incredible resources, and you can just have some specific videos on standby as you go thru the game for when you're stuck or confused by things. And 100000% if you go this route, FOLLOW A BUILD GUIDE.

This league is going to have a lot more accessibility for respeccing which will make it easier to learn and experiment! But the game is still super hard, both knowledge-wise and gameplay wise. Don't try and absorb all the information at once before you start because there is just so so much and a lot of it does not matter until very late game, or if you're super experienced already. Take your time and you can play the campain in advance to get familiar with the leveling process and items and skills beforehead.

explore the game itself and dont let you drain the fun throu other opinions....

Beginner guides can help go stay in a red line so that you can focus on other new stuff... and also, play softcore! dont play hardcore, because you will die a lot. but thats okay,

I just picked the game up after some years, as I haven't played since Act 3 or 4 was the last act. I just picked a skill i liked and built around it. Then after getting some good damage i just kept in mind i'd need defense later so i wouldn't die in one hit. I looked up some things on my phone but didn't follow a build. Just needed to look up like "how does this work" and "what does this mean."

Its been super fun.

I didn't play the game because of the overwhelming amount of stuff over the years but it doesn't seem that bad. The builds ALWAYS put me off so i just did what i liked.
