How will cosmetics like armor and stuff transfer seeing as poe2 will look significantly better than poe1 with much higher graphical fidelity and better textures? Are they just going to basically update each cosmetic piece of gear to match the fidelity of the new graphics?

Except it's been confirmed by the Devs they will move it all over, or rather, all the stuff that exists in both games.

For 3 years they lied to everyone and said PoE2 would be PoE 4.0. And sure they said all mtx will be backwards compatible, but obviously league specific stash tabs for one won't work and likely many other things. GGG tends to say one thing then do something different. That's their style.

They confirmed this like 2 years ago by my reckoning. This was before they started with what sounds like a stand alone game client rather than it being PoE 4.0 like the above says. So I don't know if the cosmetics will transfer over :s But even if they do not, you will still have PoE 1 to play. It isn't like it is going away.

dont care much about cosmetics but i do care for the 100quid i paid for stash tabs...are they carried over to poe2?

They are a purchase, so as the store page for PoE 2 states, they'll be "shared between the two games". (Note that this means new tabs for PoE 2 though, think of like it currently works for present and future leagues. You aren't going to be migrating ingame items)

thank you for the info,i dont mind much having to buy a few essential tabs in poe 2 but loosing all the premium/quad tabs would be annoying.

No. GGG announced that POE2 would be a separate game from PoE1 at last summer Exilecon 2023. They announced PoE1 4.0 aka PoE2 in 2019.

Just make the game more intuitive. Why is there a need for multiple websites to play 1 game? These are the 2 major factors that creates the attitude that i not care about this game more than something silly to pass time. AKA: WILL NEVER DROP A CENT ON IT.
