Will Path of Exile 2 be complicated to play?
Hello. I played Guild Wars 2 for like 200 hours and quit, deleted my character. I had 100% world completion and was doing daily beginner fractals and was halfway through all the story journal DLCs but then I decided I do not like the gameplay and the world in Guild Wars 2 looks awful. It's too bright for my eyes, the virtual sun blinds me and there are way too many effects. Mobs are carelessly thrown into the world and there are copies of each npc animal, it just looks awful to me.

I am patiently waiting for Path of Exile 2 right now. Will it be as complicated as Path of Exile 1 or will it be rather easy to play? I've only played OSRS and EverQuest: Project 1999 and Guild Wars 2. I guess I could somehow navigate through EverQuest P99, it was just considering mobs and finding an enemy to kill. If I can handle that game, can I handle Path of Exile 2? Cause if not I am seriously thinking of just playing Final Fantasy XIV Online. If Path of Exile 2 isn't a good game I will probably go to Final Fantasy XIV or even OSRS.

What do you recommend of these three games? Is it worth it to wait for PoE2 or just play FFXIV or OSRS?

100% completion in 200 hours? Impressive, sounds like you rushed content though.
Anyway, comparing PoE to MMO will do no good since it's not a MMO. PoE is free so just test it for yourself. If you don't like it chances are you will not like PoE2 either. Or this is just a bait thread, no idea.

I just completed the base map 100% in guild wars 2. and then I did the dlc story jounrals on guild wars 2 i completed path of fire and was right into heart of thorns and doing daily fractals when i realized the game isn't fun and that i would never enjoy the sort of singleplayer achievement grind you have to do to get ascended or exotic items... guild wars 2 feels like a singleplayer achievement game because most of those achievements will net you access to the best mounts of the game. I am glad i deleted my character in time because it's just not worth it. ff14 is much better of a game than gw2 and i haven't even played it. the graphics alone are much better than gw2 because in an MMO i look for nostalgic places to be, it must feel cozy to be in this place like some places in ff14 feel when you can see the nightsky full of stars. guild wars 2 has NOTHING of that sorts. every environment you enter feels cheap and lifeless.

I don't believe you. It has WASD movement. Surely the only hard part about PoE2 will be to make your stat build work in endgame, or perfecting your stat build?

ff xiv is huge with tons of content but yeh your signing your life away once you get hooked on that game, also can be a bit confusing at first compared to the likes of GW and wow, lots of factions, jobs, secondary jobs, professions, world stuff, millions of quests, milions of story content, will keep you going for a few years anyway.

Poe2 looks a bit more confusing compared to poe1 but alot of improvements have been made to the game, will def be much better experience for new players according to ghazzytv (streamer)

ffxiv also has a free trial so i mean you can also give it a bash but be warned once you get hooked that's it bro your life is over... (i warned you)

PoE2 difficulty is essentially ruthless PoE1.

I think we all seen enough demo gameplay and interviews to know this isn't the case.

PoE2 is putting in a lot of work to make skills, passives, items easier to understand for new players.

I think creating a build will be a lot easier but every bit as customizable as PoE1.
The difficulty in POE2 from what I seen and what the people who played it says, comes from the actual combat. Bosses seem to be quite the challenge now. Jonathan Rogers even said he expects everyone to die a few times to each boss during the campaign.

PoE is complicated, but people greatly over-exaggerate it. You click on monsters and they die, just like in other games. A weapon gives increased spell damage? Use it if you are a caster, throw away if you are not.

The Passive tree is big, but basically every class starts in their own spot/direction. You can take nodes close to where you started, but you can also go take nodes from the neighboring classes. This is similar to Final Fantasy X. You can use the search to look for things like "minion" or "fire" or "melee".

You can change everything except your starting class. Naturally, you should still try to pick a theme for your build relatively early, so you don't have to waste time re-speccing stuff. Making mistakes isn't usually a problem, unless you are min-maxing.

PoE 2 is still in the future. If you like the idea of playing a diablo-style game, PoE is a very fun experience.

Pro tip: You won't understand everything while playing through the campaign. You will have a lot of time to figure out details in the endgame.
(There's also a new league starting relatively soon, details will be revealed July 18th.)

This +1 :chaos. Most people die in campaign in poe1 but due to not learning how to gear properly resists etc. Poe1 campaign u can do with eyes shut after u learn the basics

I would suggest watching this video ,
Talkative Tri went and played Poe2 on console with his wife and she's not really a gamer, she had a great time
